How about hitting the guy s who s charmed that should shake him off has anyone been thinking of it... Just a sugestion :p
no it doesnt work, u have to sleep the person that got charmed... i know from doing a few EF's

This isn't FF7, getting charmed isn't solved by having the WHM whack you on the head with their stick.

If I ever get charmed by this thing, my WHM (Mithra) (wife) will definitely do so anyway.

Ok, back to topic.
If decharming something were so easy, then BSTs would have a terrible time trying to get their pets to obey, being decharmed everytime they're hit.

To be fair, ALL THE ARK ANGELS CAN BE BOUND! i dont see many people winning by doing so though. Just a tip incase you want to try this strategy. also elemental seal wont improve the length of bind, its about 10-20 seconds each time. this particular AA has a NASTY AOE! have the tank engage and all other meele stay back and use ranged attack!

Id be killed in one hit buy that thing but hey mithra ark angels look <u>COOL</u> (until it say it hit you for like 100000000000 hp lol)
When she charms someone she follows up by immediately using Familiar and your 6th has just become her pet for a half hour or until you kill them off and raise them at least. Easiest solution? Don't kill her original pet so you don't have that problem.
She will charm a party member even if her original pet is still out.

okkk after looking at the video a million times.. lol.. this is wat i came up with... the belt the nin traded with the mnk was called Muscle belt +1:
LV67 Def:8 evasion: -6 latent Effect: Regeneration Counterattack:2 im sure of this b/c mnks and nins can equip i.. i still have no idea y they traded in mid-battle though.
the GI that the nin equiped during battle at low HP was the War Shinobi GI: LV70 Def: 44 Str -2 AGI+3 throwing skill:10 latent effect: regeneration. he may have been using the non- +1 version thou because it simply adds regen effect.
and finnaly the feet equipment he kept switching out. they are called the Dusk Ledelsens +1 (maybe non)LV72 Def: 24 HP:27 attack:5 haste: 3% movementspeed: -1 he might have worn these b/c of the haste and and attack (to get blink sheilds casted faster). well thats all that i have for now. plz correct me if i made any mistakes.

its a belt not food srry =>.<=.. and the part were the mnk is running up and theres a little arrow above his head...it was a joke.. he ran up and missed HARD.. it looked like he parried for a sec.. lol but funny.. the chat is too blurry to translate so i cant see wat they are saying.. well see ya and hope i cleared some stuff up

nice video.. but they got owned at the end
this is one of the best videos ive seen of combat in FF11.. these jpn players really put alot of time into this. there are a couple of things that i would like to point out about this video tho that may have confused you. 1. the line that you see between the chat is a filter.. only the jpn players have it.. the bottom one is battle spam the top is a special filter that holds messages between party members usally in battles like this where alot of damg. is being given and taken; therefore chat is not lost in the battle spam like the U.S/U.K version. the galka you see changing equipment... its between his AF and (blue GI) i think that gives regans HP or has a latent effect of eva.. please correct me b/c i am not certain. the boots you see also i think maybe strider boots and his AF. this battle was also a death warrant b/c they knew they would die BUT they were acculy suppose 2 win.. at the end this WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN: the mnk/whm eminem(lol the rapper?) was suppose to zone and heal for MPand come back and raise them for round 2.. he was in the middle of casting stoneskin and got interrupted.. oh and the trade between the galka and the mnk was (not really certain but ill have 2 take a 2nd look) is food. this was a fairly planed battle but due to the mnks mistake they lost out big. the thing that got me was he used bene at 1/4HP.. weird. and the AOE broke all 3 players sheilds and did damg.... well thats it about this video. if u have any qestions or something that you would like to correct me on post it ^_^ and ill answer back ASAP. see ya :D

Just to clarify a bit more, if you set a filter to 'Hold' instead of 'On' or 'Off,' you'll get the neat window thingy.

If you are talking about the Galkas boots, then they cannot be Striders because its THF/RNG only ^^; but yes, these videos are damn good. *edit spelling >.<

Right on most things.
The "filter" you speak isn't JP only though, you can turn it on under Config -> Chat Filters. I have it turned on and I have the US version.

So anyway, we're doing pentasphere, and I'm tossing out Cure IV's and Curaga II's due to the Ark Angel TT's relentless rampaging. Well, Ark Angel TT goes down, but at this point the guy who was supposed to be holding Ark Angel MR (this thing) lost it, and of course, it came after ME. Well so I ran around the ring with it hacking away at me (physical attacks really weren't as strong as I expected, being a level 71 Taru White mage I was taking maybe 80-100 per slice), and my blink/stoneskin held...until the little ***** used a weapon skill called "Havoc Spiral." Dropped my health all the way to 0. Of course I later learned that this WS is usually AOE, but I was the only one who suffered damage from it this time. No wonder it did so much, eh?

So I thought, "Hey! If I could get ES+Sleep to stick on her, I could run up and get some good screenshots without dying. And if she resists, I'll be far away with Blink and Stoneskin on, I could totally run to the exit!"
So I tried it, she resisted. It's a real shame I forgot that she could summon a tiger that runs like the wind :( Tiger catches up, I stop to warp, she catches up, they both hit me really hard and I die.
So yes, Tigers can run fast in case anyone had any doubts.

U know...i thought that u cant charm bsts in this game, cause normal beastmasters cant charm others...like goblins etc...but, if thats so, then can she charm bsts?...if she can...then thats not fair ><

when you're charmed, you're locked out of your menus and whatnot until you're uncharmed or released. you're also considered a full-fledged enemy, even though you're still part of a party. best thing to do here is to try and keep the charmed member sleeping until they're back to normal... unless the charmed dood is your brd or blm... in which case good luck dealing with it.
im confused as to how charming a player would help, if the player wants to defeat the mithra, r they forced to attack party members? or can the charmed player jsut stand there until they are released? i think it would be fun to start killing ur party members but i think winning the battle might be more important
When you get charmed, you lose all control over your character. You are also locked out of your menus, so no unequipping weapons.
(Archmage) whoever gets charmed gets to eat bliz IV.
in the fight, archmage gets charmed.

MR is an easy fight, especially with a NIN tank. i did MR (the first time) @ LV68, she missed much more than she hit, and the most rampage ever did was like 300 when it took my last 2 shadows. rampage was rare; more often, we saw Havok Spiral, which is AoE 200-300 damage, and sleeps whoever it hits. took ~2 shadows. if she calls a mandragora (which i have seen, but rarely; maybe 1/8) the problem is that mandragora do AoE sleep; poison potions are necessary, unless you want to escape the BC and try again.
as stated, a charmed player can't do anything. they lose control of thei character, and start meleeing whichever other player has the most hate. in the above example, archmage began attacking me with his ice staff (missed 5 times, hit me twice, gave me .2 eva skillup :D) dispel didn't take it off (possibly because of shell/protect, not sure) neither did erase.

Just wondering, can she use Familiar with you as a pet? Wouldnt mind killing my party for some extra power :P
