75DRG/NIN solo they went down super fast had time b4 I could spawn so beat up some gobbies and clippers to build tp. Popped them at 20:00 and penta thrust shadow knocked it down to less than 1/3 hp and only casted utsusemi 3 times total they never touched me. It was kinda funny.

Solo'd both these NMs as 75SMN with Carby alone. The ghost uses Ancient magic but it barely phased Carbuncle. They HATE Meteorite a lot. When you spawn them sneak yourself so they wont aggro u

it spawned on a exp party i was in once, and we ran. i was the only lucky one to be able to zone it cause it killed my pt, then afterwards it started hunting anyone else close by, but the pt members tried to fight it. they was only like lvl 11+ i still have no idea who spawned it or why it popped though.
Just fought this and his ghost buddy with a friend in my LS. My friend's SAM is nearly 60, but he brought his DRK to the fight, which is 70. We managed to contact quite a few other friends- we ended up with something like 7 people that were 70+, and a couple 65+.
I started off suggesting we sneak pull so we'd only have to fight one, but the 75SAM in the group said it wouldn't be an issue. As soon as they popped, the ghost got hit with 3 Asuran Fists and 2 Tachi: Yukikazes. It dropped after five seconds.
The dark elf went down ten seconds later, the victim of two 70+ SAMs using Meikyo Shisui. I laughed for a long, long time- I've never seen anything get pwn3d that badly. That being said, I feel bad for anyone that is having trouble getting this taken care of. If anyone needs help on Sylph, send me a /tell. ^^

If you pop this NM and your whole party gets whipped out, atleast have enough decency to WARN a nearby EXPing party, that's just not cool, most people don't need to be a-holes... Anyway, I'm at 50 SAM right now(I can't get higher, people hate SAM's >.>)

helped a ls friend with this quest last night, 55sam, 60drk (me), 74thf and 55whm, we popped the nms and somehow they both instantly aggro me, i go down to 600hp before anyone even engages, Guillotine#1 @ 300tp for 700 > Icarus Wing + Guillotine#2 for 1k and it drops like a fly lol
This thing has about 1500 hp. A simple Wheeling Thrust > Savage Blade + Light took him down in seconds.

So im expin in valkrum at secret beach and this guy just pops and im watching tv so i dont know hes right behind me he just wacks me and kills me one hit.The weird thing was there was no hi lvls that could have activated the quest around.

Someone could have popped the NM as a lower job. I don't know much about the quest, but I'd assume you don't have to be your SAM to spawn the NM. Most AF will allow you to pop the NM as any job as long as you have the quest open.

Guyz seriously how are you guyz soposed to see it in Selbina's zone while its all the way in Secret Beack popped by at least a lvl 50 SAM w/ his LS... and if they died well the NM will prolly dissapear..

hehe this is quite funny but scary and sad =P well i was doing BRD quest and there was a 75pal/nin and i just got bard yay and he clicks the button while im walking back (btw at the time i was 32 whm) and i see "Doman cast Stone 2" montijin takes 282 dmg i look at my health and it says i have 4 hp left i was running for my life!!! i was laughing and scared like a #$(%^%(# at the same time so i'm in my merlin's magic ls and a good friend of mine Artmels was bored so i said hey i just zoned doman in selbina and im getting yelled at like a hooker at a bible convention =P and so Artmels comes and someone zoned doman at highlands and he wiped out even more people im getting uber flamd by the noobs and art fights it and pawns his *** like no other and we laughed so hard about it @_@!

I want to add my own story about this Doman fellow. This is not a story of painand agony but a story of my own noobish amazement...
So here I am lvl 19 or so with a pt on the secret beach. As we rest between batttles, I notice a fight behind us going on. As I approach I come across a full party of high lvls destroying this creature (The best part was the 66 drk doing 1200 dmg with a guillitine). It was quite impressive. Thank you.

I was running into Selbina earlier, wondering why I'm seeing all of this real high ups, when I suddenly get hit with for 125 damage. This guy was just sitting at the gates picking people off. There was like 10 dead bodies there. Ridiculous.

Well, helped some friends out with this guy today...and i just need to say, he got wiped, smeared, raped, and thoroughly anhialated. Was in an alliance of 2 60+ RNG's me, a 60 PLD a 54 DRK and a 58 WHM....both battles were over in a few seconds, befroe the fight the rngs got tp, and both did Sidewinder to this guy for 1500+ each with gave him a histarectamy almost, then i sata'd him for about 500, and another rng'd attack n he was dead, and onryu was a complete wimp...died in 1 sidewinder. But the point is, he sucks ***.....unless you dont have RNG's >_<

I was camping the Golden Bat at lvl 50 on the secret beach when I went to help a pt of lvl 18-20 kill off a bogy. I suddenly see another call for help beside us and rushed to help.
Stupid things to do:
#1 - Not checking the mob before attacking
#2 - Not seeing the dead bodies of WHM and PLD in AF dead beside the mob before attacking
Needless to say, I died quickly, followed by the pt of Lvl 18-20 I just saved. Just a warning, if you are pting there and someone fighting a Dark Elvan calls for help, run for your lives.
And oh, if you are the one who spawned the mob and your entire pt of 60+ is getting killed, try not to call for help but instead shout a warning to the lower levels around you.

lol same thing happned to my friend but with a easier mob.. that WHM af1 one..still he got murdered
I was hunting lizards and had just passed through the cave out on the area of the dunes off the map when I see, "Doman casts poison II on you." I run (being a 32mnk) and see this guy chasing me, at first I think it is another player and i'm wondering what the hell is going on, until I get the "Impossible to Guage" check for NM's. I figure i'm about to die after being hit for about 250-300 but suddenly some level 28 runs up and attacks him. Well he dies in two hits but I get away. Pretty cool experience though, its the strongest thing I have experienced yet and I got a cool screen shot as I ran like a coward with him directly in front of the shot.
This is a dark stalker used for a few of the AF quests, when you have the quest activated, you press the ??? at nighttime and it spawns, near gustav tunnel
