Jesus, is it hypocrisy to be a complainer complaining about other complaints? Stay on topic, what the hell good comes from saying "stop complaining you smacktard!" or something to that effect, this gives nothing positive to the community, which is what these comments are for. This is a support area, not a forum... take your personal comments to a forum, I stand behind those who voice opinions there, but I want to smack the ones who post them here.

And to the site's owners: you could use an admin to trim these comments down, I suppose I could volunteer if I weren't so apathetic

rare drops
# Jan 24 2004 at 8:49 AM Rating: Default
yeah but remember you can only get 1 of each rare at a time, so unless you sell of drop it you cant get another, if u have one, including mog house, then there is no chance of getting a drop.

Where the hell?

Where is Sophie? I've been all over the damn hill for hours on end, there's nobody here, but no Sophie. Where exactly on the hill is she?

I found Sophie only once.

She was in I-7 on the second lvl of the hill. Early morning game time (maybe 5 or 6). There was a high lvl guy killing wasps left and right but that didn't seem to help.

Hope that helps.

ya it sucks when that happens. my buddies camped spini spipi for a few hours and just when they saw them, someone ran up and killed it and shouted I got the cape!! and ran off. But you know what, when I get higher in levels I'm going to be doing the same thing, so all you low level campers, quicherbichin and get a WAR to provoke or cast DIA on them...shortest spell.

LoL...this is a joke. No-drop system for high levels who camp low level NM's? Thats such a bull ???king cra-p! We all have to make a living don't we? And I bet the time you all get to those high levels (40+)...you would STILL be camping for lower level NMs...why? Because they are easier to kill than some level 40+ NM's! And oh...by the way...doesn't matter which NMs your fighting...there will always be some high level ***(s) camping for it...so get used it and stop complaining!

Easy Fix
# Jan 09 2004 at 12:49 PM Rating: Default
A simple answer to your problems. Level up.

I've learned all sorts of ways to make money, since I'm nice to most of the people I meet, and they'll let me know things. I'm new to the game (been playing for about a week. 12 war, 7 whm) and I've now made more money than some people that have helped me. I mean... all their money, put together, that they've ever gotten. It just takes time, patience, and some good listening. I'm wearing full scale, with the exception of head and hands, which are better anyways.

As thanks, I bought one of them a fishing tunic, since she's a fisher. I started carpentry, and gave another one a workbench, and promised him a maple table when I get it.

So... find new ways to get what you want, if your original plan fails. I'm a lvl 12, and still have 10,000 gil left over from what I was able to horde together. I was up to 36,000 gil, at my high point. Not like I could use a 300k item anyways. By the time I can use that item, I'll probably be able to kill it myself.
ok

Hey all, i was just wodering if there is some method to the madness in this spawn. if it is on a timer or just random spawn. im not camping it for the gil, i want to use it, but i just dont want to pay 9k for the nice dagger. if you can throw some helpful information my way i would appriciate it greatly.
Thank you-

Like the poster below said, I have also fought Sophie twice (and been defeated both times - lv 13 WHM) and it was always in the early morning, as I was there at night hunting Black Wolves for Dark crystals.

I also saw a high-level player running around drawing HUGE mobs of hornets, probably twenty or thirty at a time, which I assume was to remove the placeholders and force the respawn of the NM.

...On what server? A friend and I were bored one day and created a huge train of hornets. It was fun. ^^
Back to the point please!

instead of discussing camps or no camps, or posting flames and rants, let try something helpful. I lvl up all my subjobs on this hill. I have seen sophie twice and that was in the the morning around 4:00 and also 7:20 on the game clock. Anyone know if she is on a set timer? I don't think killing an amount of wasps has anything to do with it for I have killed thousands of wasps here to lvl up my alchemy. Also she spawned in exact same spot both time. Lets try to keep quests forums to helpful advise please : ).
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 03 2004 at 5:53 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) god go kill something else to make money for go fight something else to level there are hundreds of monsters in this game so go fight one and don't ***** about it

jeeze enough with the whiners, try dfferent ways to make money, me personaly i ride from place to place buying things then selling them at diff AH's in diff towns, for more then what i bought em for, it's cheap yes but a good way to make money, or heres an idea, try making things via the craft system, right now i have on cotton dogi cotton hachiki and sandals and guess what, i made everyone bymyself, no need for money when u can make everything i need. and if theres something rare i want it's usualy a quesable item. learn to do the quests and stop complainin about people campin when u urself are campin
Retards.

You whiners are all tards. If everyone who wanted rare items could get them they wouldn't be rare anymore and there would be no point. If everyone and his dog could just walk out to South Gustaburg or wherever and get all the uber items they wanted it would kill the fun of having them in the first place.

heres the other issue with your ******** victory: nm spawns are usually on a timed basis. so killing a ton of enemies doesnt really ensure that it will spawn any faster. the only time when that matters is when the time for the monster comes around to spawn. the nm use the same spawn points as other enemies, so if there are enemies still around that have used up all the spawns, then the nm will not come out til one of them dies, either by fighting or naturally.
bleh
# Dec 16 2003 at 11:10 PM Rating: Default
nah, sad as it is, this is the only way possible. else reaching lv 70 would have a lot of disadvantages...if you cant kill a monster lower than lvl 50, that eliminates most of the mob in the game. so you cant hunt items for your other jobs, you couldn't do so for friends, etc etc. and what if you wanted stuff dropped only by low level monsters that were rare and ext? then can you not get those items and in some cases, not complete their quests?

unfair, yes, but theres really nothing anyone can do about it
better idea
# Dec 16 2003 at 2:53 AM Rating: Default
a better idea would be to make critters below a certain point not huntable. so, if a critter is, say, 20 or more levels under you, you can't hunt it. only exceptions being if it is chasing someone (like some little guy running from one that agro'd to him) or when someone calls for help

this would prevent a level 50 from hunting anything below 30, and at least someone help out those less fortunate who didn't get the game until a year later

of course, i think we each should have gotten a choice as to whether we wanted to be on a server with jp's or on a new US only server ... then this problem wouldn't even be a problem ... yet.

Sorry but that's a load of crap =P Asura the population is split about 50/50, on LL we usualy have 5 us and 5 jp camping it at all times =P

Stuff gets camped low or high level, just takes having provoke hehe
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 14 2003 at 9:23 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You guys don't get the point of it huh? I've been hunting lizzy all day, haven't had a chance to hit it yet, but I'm not complaining...it's compitition, and how fast u can get to it...I spent all the time getting lizzy to spawn only to have someone else attack it....oh well, that's the game...wait until ur lvl 60 and need a lil extra cash....shouild you get banned??
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 13 2003 at 4:22 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Guys stfu, its called "competition", so deal with it!
