Here with another blm trying to get a few plasma for our crimson jellys coz AH is way too much, and we're about 0/12.. drop sucks. Was here killing a few Shen though with LS few days ago and they were droping like every other one.
    Hmmm

Idk if its just me but, I've been ehre camping these things for the last 5-6 hours. And the only main spots they pop on are the Eastern and Southern beaches. But I know they pop on the other sides cause i've killed them before there..but seriously evertime i check the other beaches they are never there. BTW been here forever finally got a drop bout 3 mins ago ^_^

one jumped me on the boat and got me quickly down to 75% health. Yes, it failed charm............

Until I threw TAME at it. (*Hint Hint*)

I camped out rather than chance anything. They are quite scary. I would spam tame on it even after it was my pet. Heck, even after it was DEAD.

I went to farm theese guys today and killed abour 7 and got one drop of Clot Plasma.

I can fight them whiteout taking damage some times so really easy to me as WAR 61 with nin sub and fast killing I did about 100 damage pr round.

Last check they sell for 70k on Fairy server.

Also, counting up my damage dealt, I'd say the have roughly between 1650-1850 HP. My exact reading was 1688, so more or less.

Heh, lvl 61MNK, hundred fists, took maybe 2/3 health. Not to mention it's specials were typically 100-200 damage. ahhhh, gotta love it. Plasma going for 60k each on garuda.

Wow... what sub were you using? Must have had really low defense...

At 55, I can solo these pretty well. I go into yellow, but that's it. Start off the fight with a 400 dmg Chi Blast and it's cake. It's weird that a monk 6 levels higher than I has trouble on something that I don't.

    Not trying to bust on ya, but that's just really weird. >.>;;;

All NMs check "Impossible to gauge". Do you even play this game?

The person he was responding to said that it doesn't check "impossible to gague", so Jacebob said nothing checks "impossible to gague" as an attempt to poke fun at his spelling...

I'm a mage, and a cook a like. These things are BLM candy. Easy easy to kill. I'm a 46 BLM and they con EP to me. There are 4 spawn points for these things, and they spawn pretty often. 3 are on each beach, and the 4th is by the ??? Warmachine where the little stream is, by the Kraken. Plasma sells for 25k a piece, while Crimson Jelly sells for 60k a piece on Bahamut. I farm these, and cook them right on the spot when I get a drop. These, plus Tavnazian Safehold access for the Apple Mint, are a great profit for me. 60k a drop? I get about 4 in a 2 hours or so...You couldn't ask for a better mob to camp. Yea, the drops may be rare, but the profit is excellent!

    Edited: I'm a ******. I knew this wasn't a NM, I dunno why I put that there >.>

Like Spook, this is not an NM. It can be checked and it does not say "impossible to gague". Not too big of a deal, just thought that I would point that out.

    The First Clot
    # Jul 15 2005 at 1:39 PM Rating: Decent
I haven't faced one; my linkshell had warned me once I hit 50RDM to stray away from all mobs not Too Weak on the Isle, however two levels later I find the Viscous Clot is no longer Easy Prey. I gave it a shot after buffing up with Stoneskin/Phalanx/Haste and all that, and it fell to my blade somewhat easy. Enthunder really helped during the fight.

No Clot Plasma drop, which was what I wanted to get, but I'm still hunting now. It has normal Jelly techniques, and possibly some new ones. It didn't live long enough to use anything but Digest and Fluid Toss. ^_^ Happy Hunting!

**Edit: After hunting for a few hours, I have obtained A Clot Plasma, 2 Water Crystals, 1 Beastman Seal, and 37 EXP. At RDM52 there are still some easy preys. not many of them though. One gave me 15 Exp, but most 12 Exp, and a lot of 0 Exp Too Weaks.

I fought this thing last night with a friend, and drg36/rdm, and a drg35/rdm. It conned VT to me and we were doing about 4hp damage a hit and had it down to a sliver of life when it pulled some cheap move and wiped out my friend in one hit. Without the double healing breath I went down fast as well... It was fun though.

This little beauty conned as Decent Challenge. I charmed it and with it we faught the Urganites on the first beach of the Island.

He did great damage and was awesome to watch as he sapped the hit points from the Urganite.

I had no problem charming him the first time but the second time he spawned he was more then a little charm resistant.

    TM: Trade marked?
    ITM: Incredibly Trade marked?

TW: Too Weak (to be worthwhile) - So far below your level, it will not become agressive if it normally would.
EP: Easy Prey - Between TW and two levels below your current level. Likely to aggro if normally agressive, may not if sufficiently low in relation to you.
DC: Decent Challange - Around one level below your curreng job. DC and above will aggro if aggressive.
EM: Even Match - Equal to your current level.
T: Tough - Around one level above your current job.
VT: Very Tough - Around two levels above your current job.
IT: Incredibly Tough - Three or more levels above your job.
NM: Notorious Monster - Will check "Impossible to gauge" regardless of your, and it's level.

Keep in mind that there is more to it than just EP, DC, EM, etc. It will also say "low evasion and high defense" or something along those lines. Based on what exactly is said, you can guess what the level is roughly. DC is not only 1 level lower. I would say 1-2 or 1-3 levels lowed. DC with high defense is 1 level lower. DC with low evasion and defense i believe is 2 levels. You can see the difference when u solo at low levels. You will see 50 or 72 xp per DC mob. obviously the difference in xp would be in relation to the difference in level.

As far as the aggroing... EP will aggro. EP-- (Easy prey with low evasion and defense) usually will not aggro. I recall taking aggro from mobs conning as such in the past, but not very often. There may be a 2 level range that will con ep--, which would be the last 2 levels before checking as "too weak".

    # Nov 16 2004 at 2:05 PM Rating: Good
There is at least one at each beach of Puro.. :)Isle. They con as even -decent for 39lv beast and are great pet to fight. To charm them you better be full HP nad MP. I know its strange but I never was able to charm it without full HP/MP. They have really huge defense and addictional attack that draw HP :) so they hit and cure themselves at one time :). Need one and you rule the Island.
    looks like...
