Quick question:

How much is he camped on your servers? I know some NM's are camped endlessly. I won't have time to play for a bit, but I think I could work him with my monk to get the items for my WHM would be worth it.

So how much is he camped, and does anyone know if wand is rare/ex? I didn't even know he dropped wand until i saw it here. I read someone bought it, but i just wanted to verify.

I camp him regularly and sometimes there might be like 1 other person there. But thats on Odin.

As for the wand, it's not rare or ex and only sells for 1k on Odin. And as a Nin/War I really have no other use for it. :P

I have taken him out 4 times now, gotten 3 wands and one robe. Just kill orcs around the area and he should spawn. I think it is about every 2 hrs. real time.

hey people... just thought you'd like to know, nm's spawns pretty much the same time EVERY day... its how its set in the system... i killed ashmaker six times, all worked out from one time on one day that i was there... the spawn time is almost exactly 1h 25min, so if you see him spawn, take the time, and you will forever know where he's gonna pop ^^

ps. i found 5 wands, and 2 robes, so for those of you who are sceptics, he DOES drop the robe ^^

Last night I killed him 2 times in a row trying to get the wand, both times he dropped the robe. Needless to say I now have plenty of money to just buy the wand.

haha, yeah i saw ashmaker gobblut, didn't know who he was, beat him, it dropped a priest robe, and didn't know it was really really good item until i looked it up at ah, haha talk bout dumb luck

I'm camping this sucker for 6 (rl) days now ! Loggin in every 3 hours, normaly he is on time.
Got like 15 hermit wands now but still no robe :(

I wish anyone else more luck then I have...

I killed Ashmaker last night and got a Priest robe, so you can not worry about it being a friar rope.

fyi for everyone he spawns in that spot every 3 hours. the drop is really really rare though, but a hermit wand drops every time

Any infos about the frequency of the drops ? killed him like 6 times and got 6 wands but no Robe...

Yes and no :)

Yes : the quest you are talking about is wrong and the real reward is the Fiar rope (slot : waist)

No : this named mob has nothing to do with the quest, it's just a named who drops a wand and THE Priest Robe. But it seems that the robe is a very rare drop.

On Midgarsormr server, it sells for 30K and nothing justify that price except its rarity
