Diremite Picture

Pathos Unlocked

  • Can remove DEX and/or AGI.

    • This can remove the Pathos of anyone that entered the zone in the party or alliance, even if they have disbanded from the party or are disconnected from the game when the monster is killed.

    • For example, if Player 1 of the party gets disconnected when the monster is defeated, there's a chance of his/her Pathos being unlocked when they log back into the game.

spiders or mites?

My friend is terrified of spiders IRL, so much that she cannot get through Chains of Promathia without somebody to kill these for her. x.x

I try to explain to her that they're probably not really spiders but giant dust mites. I'm really not sure though <.<

Double Claw - Removes 1 shadow

Grapple - Removes all shadows? (took 3 from me)

Spinning Top - AoE Physical Damage; Removes 2 shadows (pretty consistent, not sure what happens if you are down to 1 shadow when it hits.)

Filamented Hold - Slow

~this is a work in progress.
can be soloed by 40smn

Just for fun while waiting for rdm friend to go unafk I decide to try one of these, I was in the tower in the right part of xarcabard, the one led to by a path on a mountain trail on the right of a ramp leading down. I had no drinks, so I decided to use carbuncle, expecting death. Summon carby, equip mitts and let loose. I get the thing down to 40ish% using a summon, assault, run, resummon etc cure as needed method, until a bard next to me helped me out with a cure and took aggro off of carby. Then my rdm friend came back and helped finish it off. Still, it should be easy if you have a refresh on you. They conned as Tough to me.

I was soloing one of these in Pso'Xja as a SMN and got a gray chip off it. So it definitely drops from the Diremites in Pso'Xja.

FYI: These spiders do not aggro. I even kneel to heal beside one (with no sneak and no invisible with HP in the red) and they did not aggro me ^^.
Thought I would share for future adventurers.

FYI: Diremite in Pso'Xja do indeed agro. Had a lv43~ in here and he got agro. The higher level Diremite Assaulters and Dominators in Pso'Xja are agro as well. The ones in Phomiuna Aquaducts do not.

i can confirm that these Diremites do NOT agro. I was campin' nue for brown belt, and forgot warp. I had no chance of leaving beaucedine so i thought i'd have a little fun in pso'xja. I walked in, saw a fes blinky lights (^^) and 1 or 2 maze lizards. Then i walked in and saw a diremite. My brother said they dont agro, so i walked past it. it didn't agro. Check your facts before you say things.

(just for more info on here): i walked in to a room and saw a Snowball (bomb/snoll) i KNEW they would agro, so i avoided them. i went to a different direction and saw a hole. I cant get out of beaucedine, so i might've as well. Right at the bottom of the hole was a Diremite Assaulter. Killed me in a few hits. Diremites (normal) check Tough to 42

Um... sounds like you were in the 40-capped tower. I don't know about the ones in there, but the ones in the uncapped tower nearest to the Ranguemont zone definitely do aggro, and I believe they checked as Tough to my level 56 (at the time) THF. :P

No, the pso'xja entrance next to Nue is uncapped. The 40-cap area is at H-8/H-9.

Diremites don't aggro. Diremite assaulters DO aggro. Just got done farming for a chip, tried resting in front of a diremite several times, never got aggroed. Fell down the hole, got aggroed by a T assaulter, and used my Federation stable scarf to get away with 200 HP left.

These should have their own "Diremite" catagory, there are many different kinds of these, Diremite, Diremite Assulter, Diremite Domminator, etc. Although they look like spiders, they shouldnt be in the spider catagory.

Corrderio, I blame you for the fact that they're now listed as Spiders XD Diremites have their own mob type, darn it ; ;
RE: Adamantoise family?
# Oct 16 2004 at 1:11 AM Rating: Decent
I think he was referring to how they classified these things as "Adamantoise". >_>
RE: Adamantoise family?
# Nov 29 2004 at 11:04 AM Rating: Decent
When they add a new mob and don't specify type, "Adamantoise" is the default becuase its the first on the list I'm sure.
