Vingijard Picture

Vingijard will allow a character to repeat their AF quests. What happens is he will simply delete the quests from your quest log. This includes AF1, 2 and 3, the Boghertz Gloves quest, and any/all treasure coffers. In order for you to be able to do this, you must have completed ALL AF quests, and be missing any piece. If you talk to him without missing any, he won’t offer it to you. It costs 10k gil to do this.

So if you're only missing one piece of AF and you have him reset the quests, do you have to do ALL of the quests over again? Because originally, they have to be done in some order and I'm going to guess once you have it reset you can't just skip to the piece you want to reacquire.

If you do have to repeat all of them in order, than do you have to drop all of the AF so that you'll be able to reacquire each piece as you go? Sounds stupid, since I already have 4/5 and just want to replace that one piece I tossed. How can you complete boghertz hands again, for example, if you already have the hands?
Will Other pieces automatically be taken?

My Question, if anyone can please answer. Does having your memory reset by Vingijard, remove the rest of the AF set from your character automatically by accepting his offer to erase? I upgraded my PLD AF boots, and now I want the originals back. Will reseting my AF Quests for PLD take my other PLD AF pieces away when I accept his erase? Or will I still have them, but just the quests have been reset?
Will Other pieces automatically be taken?

No, it does not remove any gear. It only removes the quests from your "Completed Quests" list so you can re-flag them and do them again.

he was added before Limbus was implemented.

It was added at around the same time as NPC AF Armor Storage.

Prior to that alot of people have tossed "useless" pieces of AF to make space in mog house.

Was this npc added primarily because of the AF +1 gear? In case people had thrown their AF away they wouldn't have been able to get the upgraded versions?
Can't get it to work.

Rank6 Lvl 57WAR. Dropped feet, gloves, body. Did not do coffers for legs and head, but all the quests were completed. I can't get this NPC to take my 10k and restart the quests. Any ideas? I have taken about 10 stacks of moss to the NPC in selbina so i don't think it's fame.

I quit the game and in an effort to keep from starting up again (unsuccessful, as it turns out), I tossed my Thf and Rdm AF. Now I got to do it all over again... O well, should not be too tough, just a pain in the a$$. Quick 20k loss to begin again, but that's OK. Maybe this time, I'll finally get to wear my pimp hat...
Annoying

When you try to get your AF you gotta have all the pieces, which is really stupid if you only drop one. >> -_- ; ;

A buddy of mine has accepted his PLD AF hands quest and now he wants to start his WHM AF. Can he talk to this guy and have his PLD AF deleted and start his WHM AF?

Wait, can you not start other Af Quests at the Same Time? Thats seems stupid. I understand for the Hands Quest, but i have my Af2 Flagged for Sam, could this stop me from starting Bsts Af?

The only AF quest that would conflict with another is the hands. AF1, 2, and 3 for different jobs can be completed independantly of each other.

Is there a name for this quest? Does talking to him put an actual quest in your quest log?

from what ive heard, some people will throw away their AF, whether by accident or because they dont need it anymore. This npc will allow you to redo your AF quest, at the cost of 10k. A friend of mine did this when he threw away his AF gloves on accident.
Well...

I read a post a couple weeks ago about a blm who had dropped all his blm af, and then wanted it back at a later date, and was wondering how or if you could.

Guess this guy is how.

This sounds really useful, but, how would you have not gotten the item if you completed the quest?

Sometimes people delete their AF.
