My only problem is if you dont have a full set or dont want to store a full set. I'd love to store portions of AF sets that I dont use but it seems you must have the full set. Unfortunatly I cant think of one set of equipment that Ive ever own each and every piece.

Guess its good for those that like to match :)

It's also kind of sad you can't store full HQ sets. For example, as a 45 WHM, I have a full +1 seer's set (or 3/5 of the set anyway, but I can obtain the other 2 fairly easy, I don't use the seer's head or hands). I really wish I could store my seer's gear +1 for things like when I need to craft or whatever.

Does anybody know of the other locations for these NPC's. I only know of the one in Sandoria and this one now, but not the others. Any help would be great.

Hello! heh... because I wanted to make things easy for myself (and to help out others), I updated the list provided by FrogAndSilentCronoScholar to include the "claim fee" for each armor set and the specific items that belong in a set.

JUN 2005: ALCON: Regarding replies to this or any post. Comments either PRO or CON, critiques and opinions that are on topic are always welcome and appreciated. But when folks like "somethingorother" resort to remarks that are unkind and mean... well, those are totally unnecessary and uncalled for.

My post doesn't take away from old timers who did things the hard way in the past. It concerns Square/Enix's attempt at improving the game for all users "now". I only want to bring to light that they could have and can do better with their current efforts at improving the game for all to enjoy. If you can't see that, well then you have my sympathies. Regardless, have fun playing the game.

Sinon: Hello, sir. Have you ever found yourself throwing away items because your mog safe is overflowing with dusty sets of armor collected on your many adventures? My colleagues and I have heard the cries of our fellow adventurers and joined together to aid all those in need.
Sinon: Trade me a full set (either four or five pieces, depending on type) of your armor, and for a small fee (payable on pickup) we will hold on to it, all the while protecting it from thieves, moths and any/all acts of god and/or goddess.
Sinon: Please be forewarned that we cannot store any high-quality equipment, and that the signatures of any pieces of collected armor will be lost.
Sinon: How may I be of service today?

  • (List of armor sets in storage)

  • Hmmm... overall a good effort to help out the player's storage problems. However, there are some shortcomings.

First, the user interface could be much better.
  • When you choose a level and view the list within, there is not a "BACK" option. Therefore, when you exit, you exit completely and must go through talking with the NPC again. Square/Enix, please fix this.
  • Also they should change some of the names in the list for clarity.
Example: Instead of "Seer's Tunic" is should read "Seer's Attire". Why? Because it is not just the Tunic. The set of five consists of : Seer's Crown, Seer's Tunic, Seer's Mitts, Seer's Slacks, Seer's Pumps.
  • Some other examples: Shade Attire, Wool Attire, Soil Attire, Combat Caster's Set, Tactician Magician's Set, etc.

  • Second, OMG! What about lv10-23 armor sets?
  • Did Square/Enix even consider those players who are still working on their lv10-23 jobs? Many armor sets in this range can be used for several jobs. (e.g. Scale Armor, Bastokan Armor, Beetle Armor, Linen Attire, etc.)
  • Did Square/Enix also forget about gear sets that can be used for repeatable BCNM20s, Eco-warriors, and Garrison Missions?

  • Third, OMG again! Did Square/Enix forget that people have armor sets after lv60?
  • lv61-70 and lv71-75. (AF2, AF3, JSE, RSE2) Many players now have several jobs above lv61 and the gear to go with those jobs.
  • C'mon Square/Enix, give us some more storage options, PLEASE!

  • Fourth, I almost forgot... what about the lv1 and lv15 speciality gear? Square/Enix forgot about these too!
  • Activity Gear:
[li]lv1 - Chocobo, Field, Fishing, Vagabond
  • lv15 - Angler, Nomad, Rider, Worker
  • Guild Gear: Alchemist, Blacksmith, Boneworker, Carpenter, Culinarian, Fisherman, Goldsmith, Tanner, Weaver

  • Fifth, what about another group of NPCs to give us the option for weapons storage (Artifact, Rare/Ex, Rare, Ex)?
  • I personally have the Artifact weapons for my RDM, WHM and BLM jobs and the lv1 Mumeito for my SAM job. (A SAM75 told me, "Don't throw that away. You will need it later in the game for "The Sacred Katana - SAM AF1" weapon quest."
  • These items are in my mog house storage just taking up space because I don't want to discard them.
  • Once again, c'mon Square/Enix, give us some more storage options, PLEASE!

  • Just some of my thoughts. ^^

People like you make me sick, never content, ever. They go out of their way to add something like AF storage, THEN expand it for other armours and here you are crying "C'MON SQUARE/ENIX... GIVE US MORE STORAGE OPTIONS." Hell, why not make it so you have unlimited storage space, even then I bet you'd have something to complain about too.

What exactly is your point? You want to level other jobs and they take take up room from armour, here's some news for you buddy, it's been that way for over 3 years and people have been doing it for that long. How can you possibly say there is not enough storage options if this was possible as it was sufficient in the first place.
So tell me, what is it you want me to shut up about? You want to level other jobs lo and behold the armour storage npc takes 37 sets of armour. 36 of which are below AF for jobs including gear for your future Paladin, Dark Knight, Summoner and Bard.
Not to mention these peices of armour are:
    1. Buyable
    2. Transferable
    3. Sellable
Therefore unlike AF it is not permanently stuck with you unless you throw it away, you can see the problem with AF no? This is why they introduced this NPC in the first place. Consider the addition of being able to store non EX armour sets a bonus perk.
Seriously some of you people are just looking the gifthorse in the mouth.
