Soloed as NIN/DNC, pretty easy once you stick enfeebles (especially blind) on it(no resists once I macroed some ninjutsu skill+ in).
Easy duo

I know alot of yall are saying this takes a small pt to do or you can duo it as a rdm/nin and a nin. Those would be smart but just wanted to let yall know its capable of killing with a 75sam/nin and a sam/whm. me and my friend went to do it. We of course used our 2hr but it was done quite quickly and easily. only had to heal once. hope this helps anyone.
Close one..

Just went with 70RDM/BLM 75PLD/WAR 71SAM/WAR and 61DRG/WHM...
It was a close one..
Thing hits the pld for ~75 and sam for more like 300.
Don't let the sam 2hr until its <25% hp left.. I 2hrd, stole hate, and invincible wasnt enough to take it back.. had to turn around on more than one occasion.
In the end, we were all in the yellow with almost no mp.. close one, but we won!
ninja solo?

think a 75 ninja can solo this with good gear ex byakko's pants dusk gloves ext ext. ?
My Turn

went in with 75 mnk 75 brd 73 pld (me) 74 sam.As I said before a couple posts down this thing sucks... I swear it has all the stats of an IT+ mob at 75 without the xp. Brd had to keep charming an annoying raptor that poped mid-fight. Close but done...this ws is a good addition to slamurai =P
Near Death setup

I took this guy on about 4 days ago with myself (71Sam/35Thf), my LS leader (75sam/37nin) and my good friend (72whm/36blm). We figured that the 3 of us could end this fight proper, since he seemed to be an easy fight when we did it for my Leader. We were just about dead wrong. Leader subbed nin for shadows, while I was keeping hate on him with TA/WS. It was going good until a misfire of one of his macros that prevented his shadows from getting up. Ketten hit him with a power attack right before he got Seigan/Third Eye up to replace the lost shadows, taking him down to about 200 hp of 1400. I kicked on Seigan/3rd eye and SA>Gekko'd it for about 1200 dmg (300%Tp) and took the hate while he recovered.

All in all, the fight wasn't too bad, but I highly recommend taking a real tank and an extra DD. Also, make sure your whm doesn't take hate right at the beginning of the fight and ***** up your Light SC. -.-;

We did win, in case you were still wondering. It's just not something I'd like to do with only 3 people again.
not bad

here was my setup:

70PLD/WAR
75SAM/WAR
64WHM/BLM
55BLM/whm

overall I tanked for a good minute before our slamurai went crazy. This thing hits harder than maat, about 126 per hit. Me and the sam did as many Darkness SC as we could. best advice is hit him with 300 TP Gekkos as much as possible. 1000 dmg knocks about 1/11 of his life out. other than that all that's needed is good tanking and good backup healing support with some nuking.

Congrats to Deepfreeze [Asura] on Kasha :D
So easy

If your a sam wanting kasha, trust me dont worry. The hardest part is probly tryn to get a skill up pty to break trial wep..other than that this NM is dou-able with a good rdm/nin and a nin. Dont be worryn about stuff like if ull killl it, just kill the raptor / crab around the ??? and kill this beetle and go to norg and get ur sexy *** WS. Just dont forget to count ur points for WS. Enjoy
Question
# Mar 05 2006 at 3:05 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, so when you fight this guy for the Tachi: Kasha quest, do you need to kill him with the Tachi of Trials or can you do it with something like the Onikiri? Just curious. Thanks.

You don't have the Tachi of Trials anymore when you fight this. After getting all the WS points and removing the latent, you give the weapon back to Jaucribaux (sp?) and he gives you the key item to spawn this guy. So yeah, any weapon is fine. :P
RDM Tank FTW

This mob is definitely as weak as they say >.>;. Just did this with a 63 WHM, 60 RDM, 71 SAM, 71 DRK and me, a 75RDM/NIN. Has moderate attack speed, and can sometimes attack quick enough to leave an RDM without shadows recast for about 6-7 seconds. Stoneskin can absorb 2-3 hits which buys us enough time to recast shadows, and then stoneskin. Two melees did a good job backing up damage, and did not pull hate off me until DRK and RDM did a skillchain together, both doing 1k+. Dropped the beetle within 5 minutes. No casualities. Whm and Rdm did a good job supporting me, and the melees. Congrats to Jetheren on Tachi: Kasha. =)

I'm not sure if it's known what level the weaponskill NMs are or if they vary at all, but I'll provide the exp earned and the levels of pt members for those who know how to figure out what level the NM was. It was SAM71, BRD67, WHM72, THF75, NIN75. I got 97 exp from the fight.

That would help to figure it out, but we would need to know which one you were. I guess we could assume you are the SAM, but you might not be.

ok, the dude's name on the post is Einari. Einari in the picture is holding a GKT. Plus it's the only name white in the party. That might mean he's the sam. :þ

Yes but Enari and Carbonite are two different people and Carbonite was the one posting the exp gain not Enari.
For those that are not in this pic. My props to you.
