logged out from a party in Yuhtunga Jungle when i came back was walking to kazham and saw this guy. asked my ls about it and a 66 war came to help me i was 28 rdm. he was able to kill it but not without the help from a few cureIII's. no drop
Ok so i saw this and in was aww and wanted it badly so i asked for some help.. well i found out from posts people say "it took me 55mins" and other saying "i'm on my 74 hour camping"
I beleive this NM has maybe 2 or 3 placeholders
There are about 8 in the jungle 2 including neer ifirit's zone neer waterfall (secret exit).
The reason it takes people 72 hours is because some1 probly came along killed that placeholder and it spawned in your area i also heard rumers only spawns on water element out
-if any1 has alot of friends and finds all locations where placeholders pop and gets any info would be great i want this ring for my blm

61 Pld on Midgardsormr server, came across Rose Garden today while killing lizzies for marble piece for tele-yhoat scroll. It was down in the lower section in the area after you come out of the tunnel heading to yhoater jungle. Never knew about it, asked LS if they knew what level it was, they didnt so i thought id give it a shot. It attacks fast, it was hitting me for around 30-60, which isnt too much, but like i said, it attacks fast. I Vorpal Bladed it 4 times for over 550 dmg each time and my normal hits were 85-110. I used all my MP and i had to 2 hour. HP was 58/1305 just as Invincible wore and I threw down the last Vorpal to kill it....and my drop was a marlboro vine >.<

A little off topic, but after geting Serra with a friend we decided to give 1-2 hours for Rose Graden, just for fun. When we arrived to the spot there was 2 campers already, so we went on and camped Micholas instead.
The same night I had a dream that I was leveling my NIN sub, and on the way back to Kazham I got aggro by Rose Garden and died ;_;
Sorry, no useful info here, only that when I logged on next day and passed by, one of the campers was still standing there. Guess it still hadn't poped.

This sounds insane but after a 26 hour stint at this camp... and not the first time ive camped (that long at once though ya) Im pretty damned sure its a 72 hour spawn and placeholders dont matter. Quite a few of the new NM are 21 hour timer, or 72 hour timer... a few (stupid shadow) seem to be like 32-36 hour..... I dunno, All i can do i suppose is camp till i know for sure, or let all you fine folks keep doing homework until i know for sure. Hope its not a 72 but w/ the insane stats on the ring, and the low lvl requ. it would make sense. Good luck, because im giving up for now

After randomly campin this for weeks at different times for 4-hour spans I finally got him. Took him down easily as a RDM72/BLM36 but of course no drop.
Edit: Sorry to all the people who apparently got angry cause I got pop and rated me down, take it as a confirmation that it does pop and can easily be taken by a level 70+, dont get mad because someone got the pop and you didnt >.>

Camped for 15hrs, just on the off chance...?
No pop? After that a 3 man pt arrived and I was only getting 1/3 claims on the placeholders so I couldnt be assed hanging about to see if it did actually pop ><
Ring would be good, but alike other people here, it would be good to find out spawn conditions...or ACTUALLY SEE IT!!! lol
It is not worth camping, thats for sure!
Edit: lmao bigbunt - you're right, some asshat has rated everyone who mentioned any experience of camping this nm down! I was just giving my experience of it, and I for one would like to see if I'm wasting my time with an nm or not...useful info about the spawn would have been good to know and post, but like I say, in my 15 HOURS!!! I found out nothing!
Not even a claim, so in my opinion, unless you want to waste your life away sitting in the same spot for at least 3 days by the looks of it, rather than getting a bit of enjoyment from the game then kudos to you!

Yes I've had some thoughts about this NM. One was that you had to kill the PH from another area. But my worse idea is that like the flower it spawns only after a certain time. Kind alike the blue one that only shines at night. What if it only spawns on a full moon or something? Camping her again.
Okay, I have an idea. Considering how much Square LOVES to mess with us, maybe it doesn't spawn when you kill the placeholders. One person said it was sitting there when he saw it... and people sitting there for 40+ hours (you're insane, but awesome at the same time, but still insane) don't see it at all. So maybe it's something completely weird, like, you have to let the placeholders despawn instead or something I don't know. Or kill the mobs everywhere else... or, hold on lemme think of something else completely crazy... you have to kill mobs somewhere else to get Rose Garden to pop in I-7, I dunno. I don't put anything past Square anymore, they love to mess with us (rangers got it up the a**) and they are probably incredibly insane. Or it's on a 72 hour spawn. Who knows, I want the ring still ^_^;;;

I just got off work and sat there a bit killing the Overgrown. On a happy note they drop Laquer Logs whick sell for about 40k. At one point I started killing death jackets hopping they might play a part. The overgrown seem to spawn every 2-5 mins.
I have a hatred for Overgrown Roses now. My heart goes out to those of you who have camped it for 40+ hours. I've just done three six-hour sessions and am frustrated. I think I'll just relax on it a bit and go a few rounds with the place holder every day when logging on and logging off. Its a sweet ring, but I need to do other things in the game, too...

Having fought it as 71RDM, I can definitely say a 51WHM could not solo it. It has very large HP and decent attacks.

Has anyone seen this mob spawn in a place other than I-7? I have seen 2 more malboros down the cliff at K-7 which can be pulled up the cliff to fight.

This doesnt exist give it up.. gotta sleep with SE to get it to pop i swear by it... i even bothered GMS all day @hr 19 Nonstop. killing 2 place holders every couple minutes. - im shocked the LS is helping this long.

I finally saw this thing; I've been looking for it and camping it a long time. When on my way to complete Bastok 6-2, I decided to check for it again and it was there (right at I7 in place of the regular Malboro spawn)! It took a while to beat it but it was easy as 71RDM. No drops at all. This NM is crazy rare and the fact that it didn't drop anything makes me want to forget about ever getting a Vilma's ring.
Camped (I-7) for 5 hours after maintenance, killing the supposed place-holder, and no pop. An hour later, I come back, and the same people were still camping it.. Was talking to 1 of then an hour after that and it still hadn't spawned, so he gave up too. 7 hours after maintenance, still no pop.. That's not cool. :p
EDIT: Completely changing this post.
As of right now, I have been camping this NM for a little over 21 consecutive hours. The caffeine is a flowin'.
It has not yet popped. I've killed Mischevious Micholas three times as well, and haven't gotten his drop either. I started out killing only the Overgrown Rose at (I-7). I've sort of been switching my routine every hour. I've tried killing The (I-7) one alone, and it hasn't popped.
After that, I tried killing the three Roses that I know of. I-7, F-8, and H-9. It still has not popped at any of these locations.
I'm going to continue to switch my killing patterns every hour. It seems to keep me interested(awake), and I'd really like to share my end result with you all, so that you don't have to go through what I'm going through. >.<
I'll edit this post again with my results, if this thing ever pops. I'm going to do my best to not sleep until Rose Garden has fallen at my hands. :D

B.) Someone claimed him not too long ago.
Anyway, I'm done for now. The time I spent camping him really beat the crap out of me.

Wow...that's pretty hardcore. I have camped this thing a few times. And for about 5 hours after maintenance yesterday and no pop. My friend stayed a few hours longer after I left and still no pop. I'll post up if I find out the pop pattern, for now I'm assuming it's a 48hr+lotto thing like the big dragons. My suggestion: go to Boyahda Tree and camp Vivian. It took me 2-3 weeks to get a vivian ring drop, but at least I SAW the NM and wasn't camping a lost cause =\
Anyone that posted that they killed it or their friend killed it or something can you plase post the pos of where you saw it? Or wether you had to kill placeholders? Any information besides the fact that you killed it would be very helpful. =P

After the update a friend of mine 75 Beastmaster Kegeta and 71 Samurai Bosnian killed it easily.
Went back 24 hrs later to attempt to kill it again and it wasnt up.Have been checking everyday ever since and nothing.They are pretty sure they were the first ones to kill it on Unicorn server.If anyone gets a TOD on it please let us know and we'll do the same.

Camped it for 36 hours at I-7 - never popped.
Thought I'd take a quick look on my way to Temple Ugly for a mission and it was up...
Could (probably) have soloed as 72whm but I wouldn't swear to it (a 75rdm/nin joined me and we took it easily).. I'd guess it's about level 50-55, hits hard..
We got no XP and nothing at all dropped.

Untill I see a screen shot of this NM.. I dont believe hes really there..

Camped I-7 24hrs no pop, killing PH as soon as they pop..... I give up. Drop is definately not worth that amount of time.

10hrs no pop, well one of my friends told me that the NM "May" pop anywere on yuhtunga jungle.... anyone know anything about that? that mean any malboro in yuhtunga jungle is a PH?

Camped this for about 4 hours with a friend. We killed malboros every time they popped and still no nm. Im gonna have to say this is probably a 24 hour pop mob. I really believe it pops at I-7 and not I-6 because there is actually another malboro there which is most likely a PH. If anyone can confirm this information i'd really appreciate it.

I found something out about spawn time...er, no I dind't :P And yeah Um, it's definitely not I-6 considering that is just a small path that a Malboro couldn't fit on =/

put in like 10hrs yesterday no pop, then started 9:30am today, now its 9:00pm still no pop, still trying.

After I camped this again for 10 hours I've started to give up, but everyday I lvl my NPc in yuhtunga jungle in hopes of comming by iit, And I figure hmm, my NPC is lvl 34, i'm lvl 60 and my NPC does nearly same damage as me... (i'm a RDM, she's a SAM) Then maybe if I see it while lvling her that we can both take it down, although NPCs most likely lower drop rates ;;

Anyone know the level on it? Would be a pain in the *** camping it for 20h get the claim and realize it is to strong.
18hr no pop. 24hr maybe?
