Note for those unfamiliar with dynamis: This is what is termed a Hydra, as in the mythical dragon with multiple heads, so called because it possesses multiple jobs and 2-hours.

lol just ran across this and its so ridiculously wrong. theyre called Hydras because they were former members of the "hydra corps" who got trapped in the dynamis zone years ago while battling the shadow lord. they were trapped for years and slowly lost all hope and humanity (hence the look of their faces). they became convinced that anyone entering dynamis was a soldier fighting for the shadow lord so they attack on sight. its all written in the vanadiel tribune or whatever. it also tells the story of a hydra soldier trapped in dynamis who was handed a mandau from his commanding officer and it tells the story of Vrtra. really interesting stuff in there. nice guess though.

Attestation not 100% drop

My LS just killed this and an Attestation(much to our surprise) is NOT 100% drop. All we got was a M. Silverpiece from it. Contacted a GM and he made it sound that very rarely they will drop 100 count currency instead of an attestation. If you dont believe me here is a link to my proof.

This is the PLD/WAR/RDM NM found in the northern tower in the quadav area (north-east and 2 levels down from the central tower). He has all 3 2hr abilities and can use any of them more than once! He is accompanied by 6 Hydra mobs (2PLD, 2RDM and 2WAR). When killed, he drops one of the following attestations: Force (great axe), Glory (sword), or Righteousness (great sword). In addition to one of these 3 attestations, he has roughly a 1/3 chance of dropping the attestation of Invulnerability(shield). Thus he always drops one of the 3 weapon atst. and occasionally shield atst.

He is not very difficult (compared to the DRG/SMN/BST or MNK/NIN/THF NMs) but has some annoying spells (paralyga, bindga, etc.).

Iria, I am attempting to get an attestation from this NM. You said it is found in the "Quadav" area (north-east and 2 lvls down from the central tower... if you were to put a marker on a map, where would it be? Can you get me a better pos than the description you gave us?

uhmm... this shadow is a pld/rdm/war, not /blm! This has invincible, chainspell, and mighty strikes (aka mighty misses, though not in his case).

you dont have to imagine manafont+chainspell. like most mobs, this has a near bottomless supply of MP. it couldnt cast enough spells to get rid of its MP. this is like saying imagine Suzaku with Manafont and Chainspell, because if you've faught him, you know once he does chainspell he will flare, fire 4 and firaga 3 for as long as he wants.

One of many shadow NMs found in Dynamis-Beaucedine, yep these NMs have 3 2hr abilities and some can be pretty devastating combos. They all drop attestations for the 4th relic upgrade, you have two choices when doing glacier; one is to beat Angra for clear status and the other is to go farming for relic, which basically leads to the shadow NMs.

FYI crystals dont friggin drop in dynamis, it isnt available for conquest >.>

Note for those unfamiliar with dynamis: This is what is termed a Hydra, as in the mythical dragon with multiple heads, so called because it possesses multiple jobs and 2-hours. Hydras drop the attestations needed for relic weapon upgrades.

Although it's difficult to notice with an unpracticed eye, what this mob is wearing is not normal AF - it's AF2 RDM head piece and AF2 PLD body piece, both of which are LV75 and are actually dropped in Xarcabard.

Well he's still a noob - that's either an un-upgraded relic shield or a sipar he's carrying, which makes him a 75RDM/75WAR/75lolPLD.
relic nm?

Since he seems to be a RDM and a PLd, both of which can use it, is this the NM that drops the item for the final relic sword upgrade?

Well, you're wrong. It's warrior. He is Pld, Rdm, War he uses all three 2 hours and he drops the Attestion needed for the final Great Axe relic upgrade. Killed this last weekend with my Dynamis LS. He actually wasn't all that bad, though Chainspell and Invincible together is a powerful combo.

"What the duece?" - That's pretty wild looking. A mob wearing two types of AF armor. Guess I'll see one someday when I get around to Dynamis fun. =)
