These things are evil.. I dont recommend fighting these for any reason solo, because their thundagas hurt alot! These can take a huge chunk of your HP out at lvl 47. Smithies are just as bad as these I guess...

i was going back to jeuno, on the way all quadavs were too weak, but when i found one of this, i checked (luckily) and it was still easy... i was lvl 46 by that time... i hope by 50 they won't aggro no more
Could have been a one off, certainly surprised me, but I got a mythril beastcoin drop from a Shaman in Rolanberry Fields O_o
Oh so that's where that coin came from most likely. One day i noticed that i had a mythril beastcoin in my inventory and wondered how it got there. Any estimates as to how good of a drop rate these things have?
Confirmed. These do drop the mythrill beastcoin. I got mine off a Shaman in Yhoatar Jungle
Thug/Weaver/Digger/Tinkerer/Butcher/Ambusher - Beastcoin (Bronze)
Leecher/Gambler/Mugger - Silver Beastcoin
Shaman/Furrier/Pathfinder/Reaper/Robber - Mythril
Haven't killed them tougher than that. Also, I get FAR more coins from using "Steal" than from drops.

I noticed something odd when I fought these. They use a Kris knife as a weapon, yet their weapon makes a rod sound. Bug? Glitch? Or...S-E mistake?

Anyway, for this mob, take the Goblin Gambler. Then advance him 10 levels. Also give him an insatiable urge to kill Tarutaru. And you have the Goblin Shaman.
