I spent about 6 hours in Kazham over the Memorial Day weekend levelling up great sword on these buggers (48drk/whm) and saw NO drops of chainmail. In fact, the only thing I saw was ONE goblin mask. I've also killed a bunch as drk/thf(15) and never saw any kind of armor.
Maybe they only drop mail in places like Ordelle's? Any ideas? I take great pleasure in killing them slowly.

The only place I can confirm they drop the chain set in is Delkfutt's Tower. I was helping my LS through rank 4 and we killed a few of these guys. One dropped chain hose and another chain mittens.

I went with some LS friends our to the jungle to kill these goblins. We were working skill-ups and hoping for chain armor. I think we spent about 2 hours saving people from trains and suchwhat but never found any chain armor.
Hunting in Ordelle's while on RSE, though, has produced a couple pairs of chain hose. The few I've killed in Batallia dropped nothing.

The first time I fought one of these without backup, I was running through Batallia Downs at level 33 RDM. I saw this guy walking around, so I decided to run behind it to avoid aggro. (it turned around) I got hit twice right off the bat. So I cast Sleep (stuck) and Paralyze (missed), then Slow (stuck) Blind (stuck) and Paralyze again (stuck) then I cast Enfire and it woke up. It alternated between the two of us. I could heal myself, but he had that accursed Double Attack. When we were both down to 1/5 HP, I disengaged, cast Sleep (stuck) and healed. I was back up to 1/3 HP before he woke up. I beat him, but I had less then 50 HP left.
To reiterate, folks, this Goblin is an evil evil evil "Death Incarnate in a stupid little helmet" Goblin. He gave me 80 gil and Chainmail though, so that was a little nice.
Still, I better watch myself out there in Batallia.

I had my first run in with these monsters last night.... They are evil. >< I will come back here as an uber-thief and slaughter these. Sneak + Dancing Edge will kill these pretty well, I'd think.

yes, these gobs are very evil.... especially when ppl train them to the Kazham zone...one day i will come back to Yuhtunga Jungle and i will exact my revenge on them....one day....one day...

I dream of the day I'll go in Yuthunga Jungle to the specific purpose of HUNTING them down.

I was fighting these goblins in Yhoator Jungle, and they seem to do Bomb Toss a whole heck of a lot more than before. Did anyone else notice this?

I saw a Mythril coin drop off of one of these Goblins. And yes, they give awesome exp in 27 parties.. but extremely tough.

I spent a few hours yesterday fighting them in a party. They gave excellent exp (200 - 240) but no chain armour.
I heard, although I could not verify it, that Goblin Smithy's sometimes drop pieces of Chainmail equipment.
