Pathos Unlocked

  • Can remove Magic, Hands, and/or MP.

    • This can remove the Pathos of anyone that entered the zone in the party or alliance, even if they have disbanded from the party or are disconnected from the game when the monster is killed.

    • For example, if Player 1 of the party gets disconnected when the monster is defeated, there's a chance of his/her Pathos being unlocked when they log back into the game.

The thing about Merrows is that it says they are related to Lamia, and they seem to look very similiar (Although one is fishy and the other is snakish).

This is in the ToAU section of the playonline website

Why is this listed as a Lamia when it's clearly not?

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

Well, you know how there's Mamool Ja fighters and mages, blue Sahagin and yellow Sahagin, Antican workers and Antican soldiers, normal Goblins and Goblin warriors (mail wearing ones), etc.? I think the Lamiae are like that, divided into "Lamiae" and "Merrows." I think this because I noticed that the 4 new beastmen are kind of like parallels to the 4 original major beastmen (Orcs, Quadav, Yagudo, and Goblins for those that have been hanging out in the Near East too long :P).

For example:
The Orcs and Mamool Ja are millitaristic and have wooden huts and stuff; the Quadav and the Trolls are more technological than most other beastmen (Goblins/Moblins being obvious exceptions); the Goblins and Qiqirn are small, live in our cities, seem to like disgusting things, and a Qiqirn NPC even hints a rivalry between the two; etc.

Anyway, the Mamool Ja, Trolls, and Lamiae all have 7 jobs just like their Orcish, Quadav, and Yagudo counterparts but only if one considers the Lamiae and Merrows as one. And that concludes my report on "Why I Think That Merrows Should be Classified Under 'Lamiae' in Databases."
