welll i use this on most NMs, but worked great here... Cast invisble before u get near, hopefully there is not many people there... and they think they are alone, until spawn.... This really pisses off the GS and Crap-campers who just sell.. maybe some reg folk like me.. but that is ok.

This ghost pops at 20:00, than random before or after 00:00. if u kill the 2nd pop before 00:00 it will pop again just before 4:00 so be careful. anyway even if u kill it at 20:05 the 2nd pop is random. i'm here since 1 week, about 20 mantle ^^ everydoby say that i'm a gilseller, but i'm here just 'cause i need money for my ochi kote, i can't win against gilseller with autoclaim in oztroja /cry
Ther are many other ways to make money... if not more faster... Camping and selling this gear... that people like me can use... Makes you worse that GS... atleast they havea reason for doing the dumbest thing ever...

This goes to Mwet, the stupid rdm. Just so you know, the spook isn't a NM, you dumbass. I wasn't lieing to the person who asked me, btw, he was my friend. NMs only check as 'Impossible to Gauge'. I tried to explain to you that concept but you rejected it by making up your own theory "the spook only checks az imposibel to gage when ur under lv 10". You stupid ******** Learn proper English and listen to your elders. And don't call me a 'gilzseller slave' just because I always got claim. It's called skill you n00b. Oh and another point to make, n00b doesn't mean low level player you ***, that would be newb. n00b means a player of any level status that acts as if they bought there account 5 minutes ago. so i was walkin through the tomb wiht a random guy i decided to help with his rank 2 mission but i decided "why not" and sat there starting at 9 in the morning (game time) w8in for it bc there were no campers. but with my unfortunate luck as im walkign out to check for the crypt ghost and goblin gruel i see a 44 pld walk by me and rite there i knew i was boned so i continued searching for the monsters i left to seek. killed 2 goblin gruel now 0/2 on valor earrings and the crypt ghost now 0/1 on slacks. so i decided to go back and get the kid i left there to get his mail scales and decided to giv it a try since i thoguth itd pop soon. to my surprise it popped while i was resting and i beat out the pld and a 27 blm wiht power attack. exciting moment but 0/1 for mantle...still thought it was kool tho

Ive bin Camping Spook since Lvl 17 (not continuous that would just be silly) and is it just me or do Travelers Mantle's not sell anymore

It's about god damn time Spook. Finally got my first mantle last night, 1/22. Been camping him since I was lv12 on my first job (duo) now I'm a 62 drk XD
Spook pops with the skeletons, not seconds after. If you dont even kill the skeletons, spook will still pop no matter what, but will never pop after 4:00.
He spawns like every few minutesb also he spawns intill morning comes. It is so easy to tell when he spawns.When you see the skeletons spawn that means the spook will spawn in a matter of seconds.

Yes, that's correct; Ltdan has a new account and a new name, but you'll recognize him right away! Here's a quote from our beloved Dan about his return:

Went on my very first time today. There were 2 other people there both way higher then me (36whm). The first two times I missed the claim, and I missed the 20:00 spawn completely arriving at 21:00.
I played with macros like, /targetnpc in one button and Provoke on another. Tried Provoke and F8 all really weren't that great for me personally. I also missed a spawn because it was on the other side of the tomb and it was hard to target. My advice would be to stand infront of the tomb, on the stone part. And use /ja "Provoke" <stnpc> (as stated below). When it's about 1 hour away from spawn kill all the other monsters (this only works after 20:00 since the skeletons spawn at the sametime). Then stand on the tomb, and press your macro. When you see the Spook press tab like crazy being careful not to go over him, and if you do press shift tab to go back and quickly press Enter. If you're lucky, not dealing with cheaters, and slightly skilled (I know I wasn't skilled hehe). You'll get your claim. And with alittle luck you'll be 1/1 too. ^^

I was bored yesterday so for a few hours I decided to hunt spook as a 56 thf/war first time I got there no one was there just me got all 3 pops then the second time around I had one mage to go up against being as up tight as I usually am during NM hunting I was able to get the other 3 pops. where my luck kicks in thow is that i got a drop on all 6 spooks let me just say I am happier and 660k richer =D
Spook is the first monster I ran into a problem with claiming via "Flash" due to pop timer. So I decided to go DRG/THF so I wouldn't have to give up TH by staying a WHM.
Jump works EXEPTIONALLY well on this mob. Spook always pops withing claim range. I hunted one night, killed 9 times and on the last one before I was about to go to sleep the mantle dropped :D.

Last night i camped spook for the first time. I had never camped him before b/c i was a BLM and didn't feel like getting a worse drop rate than it already was. So after falling in love with THF and getting it to 28, i changed my subjob from /NIN to /WAR so i could voke and get claim.
I got their around 18:00 in-game and to my surprise their was NO ONE else camping. I was able to get spook the 2 times he spawned without even voking b/c i was the only person there.
I got the mantle on the 2nd claim and now its selling at the AH :)

camping to sell = worse than RMT .. leave if for people who will use it, and enjoy the game
1/30 on spook. I will never camp it again.

well i have been hunting spook a while on Shiva now about 2 weeks i am Wellwisher i love this Monster cause i have made over 1 mil off him and i am new so this rox but yeah. i have fought him 30 times and gotten 7 so i am 7/30 i also noticed the prime spot to stand is Behind the tomb he spawns in the back corners or in the north east side of the tomb and always moves back from there so the back is the best spot to try to pull him also he spawns ever 4 hours In game so if you kill before 2030 he spawns again at like 2330 or 0030 and if you kill before 0000 he will spawn again at 345 or so that is 3 times a night if you are fast at killing him. i love this mob and will continue to fight him through my FF life peace out all.

The Spook can drop Beastmen Seals too, so somebody should correct that
All exp mobs can drop beastman seals, that is, mobs that give you EXP drop beastman seals. If you're a higher level than the mob and they don't yield exp, you can't get seals from them.

i'm 2/3 on traveler's mantle drops woohoo! seriously some of the easiest gil ive ever made. once you get the timing as to when the game recognizes that spook has fully spawned, it's a pretty easy claim. if luck keeps favoring me with a 2/3 chance of a mantle drop, spook will very easily be my favorite mob in the game ^^. meh, the drops will eventually slow down for me but im enjoying it right now lol.

just so every1 knows, this is technically not a NM. he does not check as Impossible to Gauge. even though, yes, i agree he should be classified as a NM. perhaps SE just messed up on this. but i would also like to say that charm is faster than voke. and Fast Cast 3 Dia is faster than voke every time. i camped spook as rdm60/thf30 for a while until i got thf to 45. now i camp as thf45/bst12 for charm and TH2. but as my rdm, i got the claim every time because of the passive job trait Fast Cast. u get Fast Cast 2 at around lvl 35 or so, then Fast Cast 3 at about lvl 50 or 55. this is very helpful. also, the rdm AF hat at lvl 60 enhances Fast Cast, giving u Fast Cast 4 at lvl 60. the only things that ever beat me were charm and, suprisingly, Jump (by a lvl 40 drg).

Some how or another i got a pic or 2 of him unclaimed lol i know its not a big deal but still i thought it was cool cuz there was no one else there so i took a pic then flashed him just incase lol im not sure hoe to put it on here so if you can tell me how ill do it

I have camped spook about 40 times, and since the last update there has been much less people camping it.(0-2 for me) Anyhow Spook first pops between 20.00 and 20.30 , depending on how quickly he is killed, he will spawn again around 23.30 - 1.00 or later if you killed him very slowly. If killed after 0.30 it is very unlikely that he will pop again. Even when killed before it is rare that he pops a 3rd time, but it is still possible.
The method i use to claim him is target with
f-8 or tab to him and then quickly hit my voke macro. Voke is faster than most spells(cept for maybe stun or flash) and you will only have to worry about charm and chi blast(there is more but these are most common). I am not sure if the modders are gone but i know there were a ton before the update. One time i was camping him and a thf used steal to claim him(spook appeared right in front of him) and i would guess he had some way of knowing where he was gunna pop. But other than that i havent seen much mischief around spook lately.
I am 4/30 before update and 3/10 after... the drop rates appear to improve and the price of the mantle has dropped. For now i have a mule there whenever i feel like camping, only lv17 but he can still pwn Spook. :)

Yea i just seen him pop 3 times in one night for the first time myself, i was surprised going against some guy atm who i wont mention but has about 20 mantles in his bazaar must have been here awhile, playing around watched the first time to see how fast the guy was and setting up my macro and got it fumbled a bit, 70+ blm by the looks of it, so waited till the new night then he came he got it with voke (didnt think he had /war :P) was like ahh ok quick to the pull better take the wait time out of the macro so had it setup up /targetnpc /ja "Steal" <t> waited for repop and got it killed it about 2:38 vandy time waited till abotu 3:33 and was like better kill a bone here before it disappears and just as soon as i killed that bone about 3:50 it pop again i kid you not i was like wtf? the blm got the one voke in and casted blizzaga 3 and it was 4:01, gonna have to stay on my toes for this one :P
