I had a run in with one of these by accident...I was traveling thru the La Theine Plateau and I didn't think this thing was Aggro, I was wrong it took me out in 1 hit... I was only a lvl 14 thf at the time...lol
All I want is the stinkin cube. I leveled my THF to 25, just so I can compete with the skin/horn farmers. Hopefully a 25THF/RNG can kill these things. From reading other posts, it's looks like it, just may be an interesting battle. There's always sleep bolts^^

i find the cube i just got the drop this morning.
With my black mage lvl 32. I had to kill 3 of them before i got the drop.
Really easy to kill... my strat was Bind - blizzaraga - water II -firaga.
He never hit me cause i had time to kill before Bind effect were off.

If your a high/mid lvl bst like in your lvl 30's... do u think with proper gear such as noble ribbon, bird whistle, hope rings x2, etc youed be able to charm it... cause that'd be fricken sweet. How bout takin this guy to the dunes and all you here and feel as u walk thru the dunes is the rumbling, rampaging, loud roar of the ram behind you. And every1 around will be in aw as they see you take down a lot of fricken mobs. As well as your own mob... but you can just head over to the highlands and grab another tremor ram or go to the la theina and grab a rampaging ram.
You cannot charm rams
Yes you probably could charm it even at earlier levels than 30 but NO you could not take it to the dunes. The same applies for the tremor ram question you have. Mobs don't zone with you.
look up Lambering lambart ram, it has a map of its spawn points, they share spawn points.

As a 55 blm i subed rng so i can get tyhe stuped glue bin here an hour and still no ram and i have to get the dumb glue if i wana gt sleepga 2 its 400k on this server

someone tell me where these things spawn now i had RNG on and couldn't find 1 for hours found bloodtear and lumbering so that kinda made up for it and got both drops :P

I read the locations are: E-7, F-8, and G-9 in another thread. Another posting says it spawns with the Lumbering Lambert. The Lumbering Lambert has 6 spawn points in three areas - G-9, H-9, and I-9.

Met up with a SAM/RNG from my BLM static and we found several easily in the I-9 and H-9 area. I got my cube on the second Ram.
Lots of people looking (at least on Caitsith) so be ready for competition. Having a RNG or /RNG really helps.

ya im was on my blm 35/17 rdm and i owned it with 1 blizzaga and an aero II pretty ez if u ask me. ended up makin a good 4k outta it too
I see these quite a bit popping in the Plateau it isn't to hard to find one of these even without widescan.
The first time i saw this monster i to was really empressed with how large it is. I was finally getting interested in some of the monsters you can kill in this game.

Yo! Just to let you guys know i was walking home form dunes to do a bcnm 20. so i was lvl 20 and on my way home in la thaine i saw this ram, never saw it before, so me and my wife decide to fight it we were thf/war and whm/blm it check as easy prey. as we were fighting it we get its hp way down to maybe like 2-3 hits left and then it happen. it did it special abity, some kinda breath that made us have HP like if we had just died and goting a raise, two hits later we both were died i was like wtf then a like 15lvl person came by and killed it in two hits lol. just to let you know whatch out for that breath IT DEADLY. lol

I hunt this all the time on carby world with 42rdm so its very EZ if u hun this guy anuf ull lurn a secrit bout its spawn that i lurnd from a JP player ill give ya a hint it spawns evry 2 times evry 10 mins

as a beast master can you charm a ram?
You can't charm a NM as a Beastmaster.

It's not an NM, but it's a common mistake to make. The way you can tell if a mob is an NM or not is to /check it. If it shows "The <t> is impossible to gauge" then you know it is an NM. Lecture over :P

Nope. 40BST here... "The Battering Ram cannot be charmed". Obviously, it con'd TW to me.

as a beast master can you charm a ram?
I was talking to my friend, asking him where it spawned, then I saw it. Killed it in 3 hits. Didnt drop anything. :(

last night i fought this guy three times in 30 minutes. as a 30thf/5rng i had no problems, the most he got me down to was half HP. best way to get him is to stand of the middle of H-9 and spam widescan every 5 seconds. after you kill him, wait about 7-8 minutes and start spamming widescan again. got the lanolin cube on the 3rd fight, other times it drops ram horns and ram skins. no one else was camping him when i was. if you have flee, use it. hope this helps.

I was just coming back fomr Jueno, ofrgot to set my HP while lvling up my sub thf so i was sent back there. Well i changed over to my 25mnk and headed back to sandy. I saw it on my way there so without any thought i jumped off and attacked it. I did not realize i had no equipment at all, not even a weapon. Well i killed it with about 120hp left. Wasnt to hard and got 2 ram horns for doing so.

Anyways, earlier I fought a battering ram with my 28 whm... I needed cure 3 a couple of times, and someone else cureII me a couple of times as well.
Tonite I was farming seeds of saplings, when low and behold another one arrives near me... Some high level ran away... so I said... why not, I ate a 'jack-o'-lantern' (have so many now), and shot a arrow up the ram's rear... he came at me full force... I was in my 20 DRK/ 10 RNG, I used my 2 hour, as well as the 237 weapon skill, and Last Resort as well as Arcane Circle... I also drained it twice, and cast bio... I defeated it... w00t... 120 XP, 3 ram skins, and 2 ram horns... not bad...

I've heard it's twice every ten minutes but I've yet to see for myself whether this is true or not. :)

Well I recently took down a Tremmor Ram as my BLM25/WHM12, so seeing that both are the same level i'm going to go search for this big bad Ram and see if I can kill him. I usuall use my barstonra before fighting any earth mobs, so I'll use that then cast choke on him. After that it's up to my magic to finish this brute off. I'l might get a few little staff skill raises but I'm mostly going to be castin my good 'ol Black Magic on this big ugly Ram.

I was just minding my own buisness going from sandy to bastok when my screen began to rumble and out of seemingly nowhere this goliath is breathing down my neck. I was a lvl 19thf/9whm and i got destroyed in seconds

I was a lvl 10 pld trying to come from sandy to the dunes to look for an early party, i came across this thing and stayed well away from it until i got herded towards it again by some grunts and neckchoppers :(. so i figure im have way through la theine i can run behind it and i will be ok, wrong answer... i get behind and i think im home free, i stop out of site if it to give a protect to a taru monk, all of a sudden the ground is shaking and i look behind me... and there he is smiling.
he hits me for around 60ish i start running and its apperant his gonna woop on my butt, so i use 2 hr to stop all his hits and run like hell to zone, once again i lose site of him, then my 2 hr goes off and rt before i zone, BAM! i die :-/

beat him with plenty of room to spare as a 26 thf
(opened with sneak attack though).
With these beasts treasure hunter is a must, I got 7X ram skins and 2X ram horns.

Hey guys i just started farming this thing as a 30thf/rng ive seen this ram spawn anywhere from 10 mins to 30 secs...i usually get about 4-5 drops at once alot of skins alot of horns i can make 12k in an hour on this guy with widescan...once when i just beat started running away there another one spawn in front of me in less than a minute of when i last deafeted it...
