first time i tried to kill him i was lv 51
i killed the clippers 5 times and he popped (i was hunting jellies at the same time) i tried to kill him but he had lotta def -.- i used 2 hr and ervything but i still lost and guess what i dlved >.> i was so angry i logged out and didnt come back for 4 days i think.
after that i was lv 52 then then i said ill try again but now with a lv 54 pld help TY kraze ^^
and we killed it np but we didnt get drop >.>
well im 0/1 on him.

moral of story: dont try to kill him unless u are 54+ or with someone else help except u are a good soloer like a bst.

i finally got this mo fo damn place is hidden but anyways i killed the crab and the pugil and the monk i would go around and kill the jellys and just farm oils i came back and there he was walkin around the middle bridge so i got em right quick and took a while to kill em damn crab has high def but anyways after i killed all i got was crab meat and shell stupid crab oh well guess ill go after em tonight -.-

I'm 0/8 on this guy as of 3 hours ago. I've been camping him for the past 4 days, and I've gotten to know him pretty well. Let me share my observations with you. From what I've seen he's got a 3 hour respawn time. He's got 1 placeholder, the clipper. Some people will tell you that the greater pugil that pops in the same 2 pools as the clip is also a placeholder. This is a fallecy. The respawn time on the placeholder is 12 minutes.

Those are the facts. I suspect there may be more going on with this guy. He was a total pushover until 3 this morning, at which point I had my @$$ handed to me. MNK/WAR 53/26 and he dropped me like 3rd period french. By the time I got back to his campground he had either despawned or been killed by someone else. The strange thing is that he didn't respawn for 6 hours this time.

He'll be popping any minute now. I'll update when I get the drop.

Edit: 1/15. Finally got the drop. KMA Dragonlancer! This chooch voked the placeholder and ran around Korroloka for an hour with the clip in tow. CCC popped after the next PH kill BIOTCH.

lvl 55 thf can take this NM right?

I'm insane. If I see a weapon or piece of armour I want, I refuse to do anything else until I have obtained it. @_@

Unfortunately, the Nadrs caught my eye as I was leveling THF. Being a level 41 PLD, I knew I wouldn't be able to solo Cargo Crab Colin. And so I asked my friend Moo(mithra 46PLD, we may not be doing much damage, but we won't be taking it either!) to help.^^ Another of my friends, S(taru, 60ish BLM), also came along for a couple days.

First day:
I arrived in Korroloka fresh-faced, ready to take on the world. I was waiting for my friends to arrive, and killed the placeholder Clipper. CCC spawns the next round, and my friends still aren't there yet. I panicked, thinking some random guy is going to run by, go "OOOOOH NM" and kill it, not even needing the Nadrs, and possibly even tossing them if they got the drop. That thought nearly broke my poor little mithra heart. T_T So as soon as my friends entered Korroloka, I flashed CCC and trained him to the entrance, where the BLM made short work of him. No Nadrs. Curses! Of course it can't be that easy. ; ; I asked Moo and S if they wanted to stick around a couple more hours and wait for the next spawn, and they promised they would. 3 hours later, no spawn. S said he had to go, and we wished him well. Another hour passed with no spawn, and Moo said he had to go too. Another friend of mine, Aoree(60ish PLD) offered to come, because the spawn couldn't be that much longer. Immediately after he got there and started fighting a Sea Monk that would've been in our way(they still con EP to me at 41), CCC popped. I waited calmly for Aoree to finish off the Sea Monk and noticed a RDM cross the bridge right next to me. I started spamming my flash macro on CCC, but it refused to work(and I was on the right macro set, I checked 3940364890 times after he claimed it), and the RDM snatched it out from under my nose. I /cry'd a few times, thanked Aoree for coming, and left for the day, a bitter and defeated kitty. ; ; Day tally: 0/1

Second day:
I popped onto FFXI and S sent me a tell to the effect of "Ooooh look, I'm in Korroloka! I wonder if any crabs are popping~~" I immediately hauled *** over there from San d'Oria, where I had been earlier that day, putting gigas's socks up for sale. I got to Konschtat, and S /tells me that someone else got the claim, but it was kicking the everliving crap out of him. And as is usual in NM battles, no one cured or helped in any way. S got the re-claim and tried to sleep it until I got into Korroloka, but it resisted the sleep and the followup last ditch bind too. S, being taru, started getting into trouble(he was in low orange hp), and I was still a couple minutes away. He sent me a tell apologising, and killed the demon crab. No drop. Thank you !deity. @_@ Moo came again, we all waited around, killed placeholders, skilled up, repeated yesterday blah blah, until S had to leave again. When CCC popped, Moo and I merrily engaged it and started the battle. 7 minutes, 2 juices, and 1 boiled crab later, the crab collapsed. No Nadrs. Day tally: 0/3 Total miser crabs: 3

Third day:
Moo and I headed out, determined to annihilate that crab and get me my Nadrs. An hour into camping, I told Moo not to attack the Sea Monk until both the pug and the crab repopped, I didn't want a repeat of that RDM experience. Immediately after I said that, CCC popped. I had a good feeling about this one, and an even better one when CCC hit Moo and poisoned him, which hadn't happened yesterday or the day before. We had him down to the last little sliver of life, and I squeezed my eyes shut and praaaaaaaaayed. Then, peeking through one eye, I squinted at the computer screen. Crab meat, crab meat, crab shell, ...NADRS! YEEEEEEEEES!!! I (literally) got out of my chair and did a little impromptu boogie, then squealed happily at everyone on my friend list. :D 1/4!


So I am now the proud owner of a Nadrs and can resume my normal life. ^.^

..until something else catches my eye. >.>

I plan on cmaping CCC wen i return to final fantasy just because the Nadrs scimitar he drops is sweet!,it would go good with the thf i will be lvling too.

i don't know why, but i wanted this sword to lvl my war with, and to add to my house of knifes lolz. took me abit to get it, 1/5. he's got hi def but quite easy to beat as 60 nin/war.
here's what i noticed: he pops every 2 hours after he's been killed. and the crab (the only crab) in the area is the place holder, i know this for a fact because when he popped the pug was there and the crab was no where to be seen. i killed the pug and the sea monk to pass the time. spawn rate on place holder is 15 mins.the best part of the whole situation was that no one else was there hunting him. prolly cuz its a rare-ex and the gil sellers can't use it. it looks pretty sweet too! can't wait to use it in battle! thanx for reading my post! :)

I'm camping this guy right now... I don't really know why... But I want that sword!

finally got the drop on this guy. I'm 1/4 on him now. luckily i got help from a nice lvl 54ish thf with TH2. the previous 3 times i had fought it solo as rdm/thf with no luck. oh yea the thf was able to mug 698 gil.

I fought this guy today for fun as a 57WHM/28SMN.. it took *forever* but I killed him successfully with like 100 mp left.. I kept Dia and Paralyze up, and it seemed to be paralyzed alot.. and once durring the fight, it attacked me and it had aditional effect: poison.. I was there for a very short time.. I killed the Clipper that was there, and the Sea Monk that spawned a few minutes after, and the next spawn was Colin ^^
It dropped two Land Crab Meats, one Crab Shell, and 1200 gil and it hit me from 20 to 40..

The Jammer Leech room is pretty close to there, so be careful ^_~

well i've camped him 3 times already, killed every pug and clip. nothing. once went for 5hrs just because i was determined to get this guy.
i still haven't seen him yet. :(

do u guys think the sea monk has anything to do w/ his spawn? since he spawns near the bridge i wonder if u need to kill the sea monk as well as the clip/pug placeholders. just a though

Considering Nadrs to be a bad@$$ sword, i decided to pick one up for my lvl 25 thief. took my lvl 50 red mage/25 thief out to camp CCC and found him waiting for me. claimed him, chainspell >>> buffs >>> enfeebling... got him down to about two hits worth of HP when some screwball trained a Jammer Leech out. leech killed me, i decided to go back and see if CCC is still up. i got back to his room and he's still sittin' around unclaimed. i attacked him again and widdled him down to about 1/5 HP. then, once again, some dumb@$$ trained another leech out and was killed... and then the leech killed me... again -.- determined to get this sword, i headed back to reclaim CCC. i entered his room and saw some other red mage in battle with him. the red mage was getting wasted (even though he was 5 lvls ahead of me) so i thought i'd help him out. he invited me, i cured him and killed CCC. we got the drop and thought it'd be fair to cast lots for it. of course, the other guy got it. still wanting the sword (even though i'd lost about 1000 exp already) i waited for him to respawn. about 2 1/2 hours later he popped back up. this time i slaughtered him, picked up 1800 gil AND the sword AND some crab shells.

i was pretty amazed that i got the drop twice in a row, so the whole ordeal was well worth the trouble and exp loss.
