I'm like 0/9 on him. I think the smallest party I've killed him in was a 65 whm 65 rdm (me) and a lvl 70 Drg. I went sub drk so we could skillchain distortion. WHM just healed and DRG and I bounced hate. I also tried as 65 RDM/BLM with a 65 PLD. We just couldn't do enough damage to him so the same DRG and a WHM (from our LS) ended up coming out to help mid battle (Yay for sleep).

I beat this guy a couple days ago with a 60 RNG, 60 WAR, 63 WAR, 61 RDM, and myself, a 60 PLD. Wasn't a very easy fight. He silenced us after I got one or two cures off. After that he just wailed on me hardcore. The ranger pulled the hate off of me when I had 46 HP left.(and I was poisoned). The two warriors then took the hate off of the RNG. The RDM's silence dropped, he cured me, I took back the hate. He died shortly after that. No drop, I was kind of sad. I started off the fight with Invincible for kicks - I didn't expect him to hit as hard as he did.
72 Pld and 56 Blm just took this thing out waiting for different NMto pop both used 2hr towards end. Good fight great team work.

correction on post below, the items dropped were off Centurio X-I which was nearby. I keep getting confused. This guy only dropped Mythril ore and the pauldron for me.

Killed this mob 3 times as 73rdm/blm. First time I soloed it, other 2 times with my friend 73blm/whm. When I soloed it, I had to melee this mob cause someone was watching and probaly waiting for me to die and take it. It was a tough fight and my hp went down to about 200-300 at times and had to convert twice. I hardly did any damage to him being a pld and half the time, I was casting stoneskin, paralyze and draining and aspiring off a nearby worm (got hit by quake once as well coz I forgot to silence the worm). This NM isnt very hard actually because you can sleep it and nuke it like Ruby Quadav style. Only problem is that it will take a while and the other Antican Hastatus will pop during that time and also chance of getting the mob stolen. Did not get the sword but got Stone 3, Adaman ore and the usual Antican stuff. Would not solo him again, waste of time since the sword has a low drop rate from what I heard.

I solo this guy on a regular basis as a 68 nin, Kurayami + Blade: Retsu makes him seem a little weak, just bring 1-2 echo drops and you're fine, but still haven't got SVQ yet

He was tough, but then again all PLD type mobs are pains. RDM tanked with stoneskin/phalanx. SAM and DRK drew hate, but RDM subbed WAR for provoke. Our RDM cured for most of the battle, and when he the Ant fired off Invince, our BLM went to town. Tough battle, a few close calls...but all were avoidable. We'll be back ('.')b

hehe. I was the BLM in Dakin's party. it was a good fight. A little rough with 4 people though. Came back today with this setup:

He was easy this time. No drop this time either. Apparently, we "stole" it from a 69 RDM who stood in front of the door to the room and watched us buff up, kill the add next to it, then claim.
It was an interesting argument over auto-trans, but eventually, he just told me that we were all terrible people. . . I was unimpressed with his understanding of how to "claim" mobs.
He had a 75 WHM there with him >_> lmao. don't understand why he didn't take it. Oh well. This NM is fun for sure! :D

You on Fairy server by any chance? By and large, anyone who doesn't speak Japanese is considered an inferior being on that server... /sigh.
I think 4x 60 might be a bit weak. Killed him last night with 70brd, 65rng, 65blm(me), 61blm, and a whm and drk in low 50s, and we didn't have a particularly easy time. It was a really fun fight though ^^. I guess a very well-prepared 4x 60 group could do it, but I do know a 70pld,70mnk,61blm group that lost to it.

do u realy need to be lvl 75? i mean,the sword is a lvl 65 weapon so..maybe ull make it on 65...or do u realy have to be 75 to beat this thing?
At L75 it would be an Even Match; you really would just need a party in the upper 60's, early 70's to kill it. Or perhaps an alliance of L65's........
