Vana'diel Bestiary: Sea Horror  

Just FYI: ive seen this guy killed a few times, and been killed by it just as often.

It has An regen-effect ability (i forget what its called) And like the sea monk, has 100 fists, which ive seen it use twice in one fight.

Yeah, this thing scares me T.T

oh and i forgot to mention that after all of that i went fishing for the first time with 0 skill and i cought a IT crab w/o my armor on AGAIN and i was running in circles like a biotch while a 45drk killed hahah that boat is straight from hell

First time I saw it was on the way to Windurst to go kill the dragon. I was about level 22 or 23 thf at the time. For most of the trip I was sitting in the captain's area and looking out the windows. I see this huge sea monk looking thing and click on it. Sea Horror, oh goodie. Anyway, I watch as it kills everyone on deck, thinking I would be safe inside. One of my friends runs up to join me and the Sea Horror follows him and does 450+ damage, killing him instantly. It then sits there, through the walls and ceiling for a moment, then WHACK! 408 damage. Hit me for my exact hp and I died in one hit. :/

Sea horror...I was told about it as low lvl newb by my higher lvl friends, they said if i ever saw it too Run Like Hell...Well, the ferry between murhara and selbina is one of my fave ways to travel, so ive seen ever monster that spawns on the damn thing, i been killed by pirates 2x (they conned as like decent challenge so i figured me and a blm lvl 30 could take em, but of course 5 decent challenges whoop down a Thf War and Blm Whm) seen em about 4x...

Anyway ive seen the sea horror about 3x the first two times i saw it first and avoided it as my buddys advised me too, (id been owned too many time by sea monks, which i can just barely take a 30)

Well, the third time i saw it i wasnt quite as lucky, it saw me first...I'd just finished training my ninja in the dunes and was traveling to windy to make some money...It turned out that a party of lvl 50-70 **** was on the boat, so i figured i was pretty safe up on deck even with my lvl 18 Ninja...anyway this *** wearing lvl 75 equip synthed a lu shang fishing rod, so i went over and started checking out his equip...the phone rings, so i look away to check it, and when i look back BLAM 400+ damage is on my Log and im VERY VERY dead, the sea horror had spawned RIGHT behind me.

Well i was kinda pissed but i figured it was okay cuz there was at least 2 lvl 50+ whm on board one of them was lvl 75, they'll just kill the damn horror and raise me right? Wrong.

From my vantage as a dead person i watched the horror move around deck smiting every person it came across, the **** just say Sea horror = Death, and dont raise anyone...Then the two whm (one in af the other the lvl 75 id talked about before) both decide that if they dble team it they can take it, So i get a front seat as they both go at it, dropping hi lvl spells heals and insane looking WS all over...They battle for a while and look like their winning I figure everything will be alright, the the friggin Sea Monk busts out with Hundred Fists!!! It was over then, the thing dropped both the 75 and the other whm like sacks of potatoes, then proceeds to wipe the ship clean of all life...

fortunelately one of the whm had reraise on em and got up after the ship docked and raised us all...i got some nice screens of a WHOLE bunch of dead bodies...

I heard from a friend in my ls that he saw a level 74 DRK solo the Sea Horror sucsessfully.
He said it was an Elvaan in full DRK AF and he reached level 75 after the battle. He might have been lying, but we always have our crazy stories to tell. :D

I was on the ship with only one other person. We were both about lvl 17 or so and standing on the deck. All of a sudden, the thing spawns out of nowhere. Just as I'm typing look out, whack!, it hits this other person. I ran and luckily got downstairs before it got to me. I was so relieved, it was definatly my lucky day.

I have yet to see this beast myself, maybe I will go and see him tonight. Anywho I still think Steelfleece in the Highlands is scarier, even after hearing the stories about this guy. STEELFLEECE IS ONE HUGE MOTHER F"CKER! It would eat this ****** in one bite!

Here's me as a 30 war/thf, riding to boat to Selbina, thinking to pick up an advanced job or two. I'm staring off the boat thinking I look all cool and dramatic then turn around to see a 40 dragoon being massively owned by what looks like an overly-large sea monk. I run to the back of the ship along with a 75 whm, and a 40 something ninja. I see the dragoon get tractored and feel a bit safer with the white mage onboard. Like the genius I am I go to the "cockpit" of the boat and look down onto it, killing the people fishing on the main deck. I freeze as it looks up at me and stands still fpr a moment. It proceeds up the stairs as I'm desparately trying to open the other door. I get hit for 400 something, like everyone else, die, and downlevel to 29. No adv job for me anytime soon. I just had to leave kazham as soon as i leveled, I was looking forward to ninja that much. Thank god for the 75 whm, tractored and raised all the people that died after a minute of people screaming in terror. I ended up alive. I think Square Enix put that in an incredibly bad place. But I have to say it makes the game cooler.

HeHe When i was more of a nublet at lv18 MNK i was on board fishing when this thing and a Sea Monk turning up. There was a full party on board doing the sub-job quest. I ask one guy if the sea monk was aggro because he was fishing with these things wandering around so he goes Nah... *WACK* dead then the rest of the party start to hit it one more dies and the rest ran around the **** for at least 5mins in circles around the cabin and down the stairs all the time berunning around also trying to get whereva they wernt going ^_^

Made the mad dash to the deck to slaughter the creatures that are on board when the ship leaves the dock. Made it halfway up the stairs when I saw this thing slapping down characters with messages like "Sea Horror hits DeadGuy1 for 436, DeadGuy1 was defeated by the Sea Horror." I turned around and ran back to the gangway downstairs and hid with two other people. Every now and then you would get another one of those "Sea Horror hits DeadGuy2 for 436, DeadGuy2 was defeated by the Sea Horror" messages. Eventually the boat docks and the three of us get off, along with a row of corpses. All I wanted to do was a bit of fishing, maybe catch another Tuna......
