I just raised my great sword skill from 0 to 40 in 2 hours fighting these cute hares with my lv 19 pld/war. I dont think its too bad. And as an additional effect i gained up to 100 exp in each fight. I don't think thats too bad.

just soloed an even match high defense on me as a lvl 16 WAR got me down pretty low but it was worth the 100 exp. waitin for a pty :-)

i've made a party with 5 friends and each sand hare send 167exp
i was a lvl 18war/9whm soloin these at the dunes, and i got 100 exp each... not bad solo... each time he took like half my life off though

Don't fight Sand Hares-- it's not like they are hard or anything, but it's not worth it.
Not only does that kick of theirs deal out good damage to your party members, if you walk by a party who is battling one and it does that stupid kick, you secondhand damage.
Plus, it gives out pathetic experience compared to the other enemies. At least in all the times I've fought it.
