Vana'diel Bestiary: Glacies  

This is one mean Ice elemental. It seems to go purely after mages. Myself, 75Rdm, and my friend Tylerm, 75Nin, tried to duo the thing, and didn't last very long. I went in with Dispel, and it quickly vanquished my Stoneskin. Nothing that Tylerm did would take it off of me. In fact, after it killed me, I got up, and rested while he fought. Once I saw him get to about half health, I got up and casted Regen on him. Bad mistake. That thing whipped around on me so fast I won't see straight for a week. Never got to find out anything that it might drop, because we barely scratched the surface. My new idea, however, is going to be fairly straightforward, because I did notice it to be unusually susceptible to magic. I'm going to go in with Chainspell blazing next time, and I think Tylerm ought to switch to his 75Blm and see what he can do. Maybe, just maybe, we can manage to pull out a win by brute.... er... magical force. Or maybe, we really should bring out our friends on the Linkshell. Just a note: We had along my wife's character, that we'd been using on previous runs to bring the level down. We had her on her lowest job, level 9 Rng, and it clearly had no effect. If anybody manages to kill this thing, lemme know what you got, would ya?
