Killed everything in the area around G-7. Snagged a Dodge Earring from a slime. After an hour of waiting, NM spawned. Dropped crossbow. Suggest 35+ for this. Very easy.

Very easy NM that seems to spawn quite frequently. I've killed him 3 times now and a Power Crossbow has dropped everytime, but never a Plantbane. Power Crossbows will sell for around 2500 gill to the NPCs.

After getting my Mithran Scimitar, I decided to stop and try this NM out (wanted a free Xbow to skill up marksmanship). Long story short; 1/1 on the Gaxe but no Xbow. Also managed to get some dodge earrings while I was here. Not a bad trip.
i have begun to hate this fool, i call him big ho head taker now, im like 0/10 on the plantbane thus a x-bow each kill, sure they are about 3-5k but i wanna use the axe on my war, i even had a 50thf(2 kills) or a thf75(3 kills) help me out no change in drop.
last night i killed him 5 times in 7 hours had a 75thf come over but b4 the thf helped i had 1 dodge and 1 slime oil drop with 2kills on big ho, and when i was tired for bed we killed big ho 3 times got 3 more x-bows but i also had a stack of slime but no more dodge earrings, i think moonphase was in 90 percentage.
a note on the earring: a friend of mine has taken 4 high-lvl thfs to kill oozes and in 4hours not 1 dodge dropped so youve gotta be lucky to get em.

But its not all bad news... Was killing the quadavs next to oozes & every other hour ol' Bi'Gho shows up! Never dropped the axe, but dropped powerbow twice!

u guys mentiond u have to be lv 30+ to kill him thats a load 2 lv 18-20 bst chould easly kill him no problem :) so their u have it bst i learned from exp how it works only thing u gotta do is becareful of his blood weapon
The site doesn't say it's okay to fight this at level 25, it says the monster is level 25. Also, you should consider level, weapons, equipment, etc.
I would say a DRK, PLD, WAR, or NIN would be able to do it at level 27, a RNG, BLM, THF, or RDM at 29, and a WHM at 33. (Properly equipped, it is possible to take this NM at level 25 with a melee job.)
There are alot of variables that would make a considerable difference in this statement, but generally, these would be my recommendations.

i tryed this at level 25 and died trying now i only did this at 25 because this site said it was ok to so if you could please tell me what level i should do this at i would greatly appreciate it
The site says ITS level is 25, that makes it an Even Match mob for you at level 25. I would wait till 30, or maybe even 35 to solo it, because you have to remember, there are Quadavs all around you, and they will, and do link.

i was just waltzing around and found 2 ooze, so i killed one and while i was fighting it, someone took the other. so i started to walk back and bam. it was there. he used blood weapon but it didnt do a single dmg to me cuz i had phalanx and stoneskin. i got power crossbow from it =)

This NM is special, his drops may be quite crappy but since he has nearly no campers he is sweet if you need some money fast. I have the feeling his overall spawn time is around 1 hour, but i dont know , never waited that long for him.

Just took this guy down after two hours of waiting, so the spawn time is definitely not 15 minutes. I killed him easily on a lvl 40 THF/WAR, but he only dropped the power crossbow. Pretty much no competition for him, which was good. Easy kill.
G-7 is the pos for this guy, the middle of the West of G-7.

^^; well. I was hunting for helmets @ Beadeaux so I could raise my Bastok fame and I found this guy by mere accident. Heh.
I killed him and I did get the Plantbane =D! But no crossbow. It was still a good kill.

I came across this guy last night while helping friends on Mission 3-1 for Bastok. I was using my 41 THF main job and my 2 friends were using 29 WAR and 25 DRK jobs.
I found the spot where he spawns and saw a bunch of chinese gil selling dudes camping the ooze for dodge earrings apparently :/
I worked this guy no sweat, my 2 friends helped take him down even faster. No crossbow but I got the plantbane. How's that for luck? I got the drop I have no interest in keeping.
And I do believe the repawn timer is every 15 minutes or so.
If anyone doing a mission or quest in beadeaux, I would recommend you go after this guy.

I kill him regularly on the Bahamut server. I dont advise a lv 30 fighting him, he's not tough to my rdm but he does hit quite hard. The power crossbow is a definite drop but the Plantae is the rarer of the two, i've gotten it 2 out of 8 times. I dont sub thief but if you do i think it does help, thief lv 15 that is.

Plantae = 12k
This place is worth camping to anyone that's a rdm lv 35, 37 nin, and all other classes lv 38 considering the rdm has stoneskin, enthunder, cure III, blink, and Thunder and the ninja has Utsusemi:Ni. The Ooze is right next to him and drops the rare drop Dodge Earring Which sells for 45k on the bahamut server. He(Bi'Gho) respawns about 1-1.5 hours so have fun fighting him ^^. Ooze spawns every 5 minutes but he's MEGA camped by japanese players. I dont recommend camping the Ooze unless you're subbing theif because i've camped him for 6-7 hours before and fought many many oozes and about 3-4 Bi'Ghos without one drop of the earring until my friend subbing lv 15 thief came. And the Old Quadav is his place holder so kill him regularly. He's also nice to kill because the Quadav Helm he drops sells for a nice 1,300 gil each on bahamut.

Would a 30WAR/15MNK be able to take this guy solo?
I took it as a WAR/MNK at Lv 30 but i had to use Mighty Strikes and it was still a hard battle, i recommend building up TP then using your WS after using Mighty Strikes.

I know he drops two items, one is the power xbow, and the other is the plantbane GA, Judging by what people have said can i assume that the axe is the rarer of the two drops.

I've killed this NM atleast 15 times.
As far as i recall, he has dropped a Power Cross bow 100% of the time. on Asura they AH for about 3~4k, but I usually NPC them for 2.8k.
