What the respawn time for Shadow Dragon? Any1 know?

Soloed him as BLU58/NIN29, only took one hit, just kept the basic stragety down, head butt, shadows, head butt, repeat.

Checkin if he did Body Slam, fought bout 5 of em, none used it ; ;, can blus learn body slam from this punk?

This guy can attack you from any side of his body without facing you.
Hit you with his hind leg, hit you with his tail.
It's really funny.

I just killed that dragon as WAR 72 it missed me allot but when it hit me it was for 80ish damage. Now since I get missed allot it was no problem I have 1200+ HP left after defeat and got about 1800gil and a dark crystal but I used a few bloody bolts.

almost duo'd him as pally 58 with my npc... then came the [Petrification]... he had all the time he wanted to finish me off -_-'

I've been killing this guy for fun since lvl 55. I play mnk/thf and this dragon is a joke. I use the same strategy for soloing nms, 11 boost chi balst, then hit it with ws. I was actually expecting to die the first time I fought it at lvl 55, but my chi blast did about 500 and raging fist did 600+. The rest of the battle was a walk in the park. The direction of the battle can change instantly though, if you get hit with petrification.

I have to say you need to be careful if you're thinking about fighting this thing solo. On my last day of playing, I was running around the area and saw the ugly thing... I figured it would be fine if I just used my two hour [Hundred Fists].
... A minute in, he petrified me. It never wore off, and I got killed. >.< I was level 60.

... With a mere hundred or two EXP separating me from deleveling. Now that would've sucked.

I've seen this bad boy once, on my first excursion into xarcabard for the Vazyl telepoint. Needless to say I was far too lowlevel to even consider walking within 1,000,000 ilms of it.

But now, I'm very interested in fighting it for 2 reasons:
1. I very much want to kill a dragon, and I figure it'll help skill evasion some more; and
2. Biast drops a nice helm if I'm priviledged enough to actually find, claim, and kite until reinforcements arrive.

...but it's probably been brutefored into JP time on my server, since I've yet to see him again. Or I've just had bad luck with timing.

Was doing a GK2 run it was Lightsday @11:00 thf ran off to kill shadow drg. After killing shadow dragon Biast popped instantly unclaimed but aggro a NM Dragon

Party setup was 8 people 67pld/war 69nin/war 66whm/blm 67thf/nin 60thf/nin 55whm/blm 55drg/war 55mnk/war

I started tanking it and the pld was sa/ta on and it was doing 100-150 dmg per hit, I quickly got hate back and was able to blink tank it Ni->Ni we had to have the 55's stop fighting when it did thorns, they were taking too much dmg and whm's were low on mp. Killed the NM with no deaths whm used benediction when biast was at 3% health, I would say its HP is in the 20k range. Dropped lvl60 R/Ex helm Patroclus's Helm Str+2 Haste+2% Eva-5 Enmity-5 Jobs I remember could use it Pld, Brd, thf, drg

Shadow Dragons drop around 2000 gil. You can also solo this at level 60-65, depending on the job.

If you are a THF fight him from behind. He won't turn around and you can keep SAnTAing him. If you see him turn around to face you *immediatly* unlock the camera and turn around. Petrify is a gaze type attack and it will always miss if you turn your back to it.

Unlike just about everything else in the area it is *not* resitant to bloody bolts. At lvl 66 my bloody bolts drain 50-70 hp per hit and are rarely resisted.

I beat him pretty easily as a 59RNG/THF. I was doing the outpost supplies quest and saw this guy on widescan. Since I had never seen him before I thought it might be an NM but it checked as EP. Shadowbind->Barrage->a couple arrows-> then Sidewinder took most his life. By the time Shadowbind wore, he hit me for about 300 dmg total before I finished him off. He was hitting for about 80 and had damage spikes effect. I got 30exp and 1984 gil.

Well i got a teleport out here today going to do the tele-mea quest and was running when i saw him. He was Easy Prey so I know he was going to be tough. I started fighting him and almost had him beat when i had enough magic to warp out of there to live. I made it back to Jeuno and got another tele out there and i had asked the why if he would help me kill it. WHM was 51 and I am a 57rdm. The battle was going well until we had a Evil-eye join the battle. The dragon was less then half life when it joined. I casted elemental-seal and sleep 2 which put the eye to sleep for the Whm to cast a spell on him and wake him. Needless to say we killed the dragon and got 624gil beastcoin,dark crystal. The evil-eye went to kill the whm as i was casting cure 4 on him. For his help and death i gave her 5k for the time. It was fun so if you a lv 57 rdm with someone healing you, you should be able to take him with no problem, "but watch out for aggros"
