I've killed him twice and no lance but as far as i know, as a previous poster mentioned, its impossible to sucessfully pull him without links without a smn. Go death pull!
we can do this guy eeeeeeeeeeeeeasily with:
68 drg/rdm
67 brd/whm
68 nin/war
i mean this guy is easy, the mobs you have to fight to get to him are harder. I'm not joking lol. Either way both times ive fought him, we had a death pull. Second time by me. I casted sneak on myself then ran up to him, poisoned him and tried to pull without regular mob links (had the other two NMs anyways) but the other mobs didnt link on him when i pulled him near the wall you jump down to enter the area. if you want to do this without links, get someone to summon pull, if not, train the whole area and have fun

Me (DRG75/RDM37) and my friend Jonah (WAR75/RNG??)(for widescaning NMs)were messing around behind the ornamented door. He tells me this guys up, so we run down there, and start killing the mobs in the way. We both had reraise gorgets, so we poped RR and defense food. Unless you have a smn it's almost impossible to pull Ocean Sahagin with the 2 NMs hovering around him. Jonah distracted all the sahagin in the room and ran to a corner to die, while I jumped Ocean Sahagin and pulled it to a safe area. Thankfully the pull worked and I got no adds. Jonah reraised and came to help with the wyvern, but somehow died (I dunno how). So I basically soloed him and his wyvern from 95% to 0 health. Was so much fun, but we didn't get the lance -.-. I was just proud of myself for soloing him and his pet at once lol. Thankyou Jonah for dying so that I could fight him rofl.

Does he still drop the lance? I've noticed the past few pops that the RMT that used to camp him don't really bother anymore.

Thanks for any info.
The wyvern level is not 50s

Even though, the called wyvern really weak, you can solo it with level 60s job easily, but it is definately not level 50s. At level 75, I get exp by killing it. So it should be checked as EP at least.
Bring a THF...

I went through and killed this guy the other day with a 5 person party (75WAR, 70WHM, 69THF, 70RNG, 71DRK [me]).

Walking into the chamber was a bit intimidating at first, because he was next to 2 other NMs and in a room full of high level Sahagin (probably 10 or so). Anyway, we just opted to clear out the room. It didn't take all that long, considering, and we usually pulled 2 Sahagin at a time because they were always on top of one another. Sleep2 never failed on the links.

In any case, getting down to the NM itself, we tried to pull off the Abyss Sahagin first, but the other two linked anyway. The WHM dropped Elemental Seal + Sleepga on them, and after 20-30 seconds, I reinforced the Ocean Sahagin's sleep with Sleep2.

The Abyss Sahagin went down pretty fast, its about the same as fighting the other Sahagin in the room. It did use Soul Voice, however, but not a big deal. The Coral Sahagin woke up next, and again, went down pretty fast, even with using Benediction and curing itself.

The Ocean Sahagin was a bit tougher in that he just took a little longer to die (either more HP or just higher DEF being a DRG). He called his Wyvern, but I just cast Sleep2 on that, too.

One very cool thing that we learned during the course of this fight though is that you can steal platinum beast coins from the Ocean Sahagin and mug for about 2200 gil. Considering we didn't get any other good drops from the entire ordeal, the THF made off with the best loot. :)

All in all, Sleep was pretty darn useful throughout the entire adventure, for clearing the room and being able to wail away on the NMs one at a time.

I brought 1 TTH2 and two TH1's

I got the Collosal on the first try, got the other two NM's as adds when we pulled the Ocean Sahagin too, that caused a lot of havoc.

Overall, he's really easy, especially with a DRG using ancient circle or tanking the wyvern (I did)

Behind the Ornamental Door

This guy spawns behind the Ornamental Door. You need to do a quest to get beind the door each time, as the key breaks as soon as you use it. He spawns once a day (around 10-11am CDT on Pandemonium). He is never camped. For the past three days, a Japanese group has managed to make their way to the Ocean Sahagin at around 11:30am just to find that I've already killed it.

He spawns around two other NMs (a WHM and BRD, both who use their 2HRs) and a room full of other 67-70 Sahagins that will all link as soon as you start fighting the Ocean Sahagin.

So you basically need an alliance of lvl 70s or an experienced SMN or BST who can carby pull.

I'm 1/3 on this guy. This guy is never camped. If I didn't have to work during the week, I'd login every morning to kill this guy. Lvl 72BST and it's too easy.

Yeah or you can try most any lvls with a couple 75's, and just kill the sahagin in the way first. Brd or blm sleepga is very helpful with the bard and whm link.

Been Duo-ing this thing with a 71BST friend for a week. 0/7 thus far. Reports of another BST that is 0/30 are running around right now. Madness.
