You can hit crabs and these at Cape Terrigan when yer about 56-59, but they attack fast, hit hard, and have mean ws. Blink tanks seem to have much less trouble than PLDs, particularly if you have a back-up NIN. WHMs beware, they can drop people in an eyeblink, and you may want to keep barwatera up to pad some of their ws. Not TOO bad.

At level 56, fighting these as MNK I was having tons of trouble. Even with sole sushi, my accuracy must have been only around 50% and my attacks were much weaker than usual too. I'm used to destroying mobs with my MNK, and even doing good on crabs but these pugils are just way to high level for me, simply put. It really makes me feel ashamed to do so poorly but there was nothing I could do about it.
58 pld. a pt wanted me to tank them. i said hell no. im a taru i just cant tank that **** without getting killed. at one point we were rdm and bard and whm in a pt. and i still died a lot.
My party of 57-58 was getting 288xp off Chain #1 going from Robber Crab --> Terror Pugil

im in a pt there right now as a 58DRK with a blm, whm, brd, nin, an thf... anwe're doing up to chain #4's an getting about 230+ exp. Best exp I've seen as of late.
