As 43 BST/21 BLM.. thats right.. subbing BLM.. I was xping in Zi Tah, and someone in his 30's came in asking for help to fight this mob. No one responded so I decided I would take a crack at it. I grabbed an EM shroom pet for a tank and we popped the mob. This thing was a pushover.. even easier than a goblin trader. Poison, bio, and shock all stuck, and after that we just pounded it into the ground without taking any hits. I am confident I could have soloed it with no problems. Too bad I didnt have the sam quest activated for myself.

Ok look - I like to take risks and help anyone if possible so, I'm used to putting my life on the line. Question is - Could I solo this as 46 WHM?
I know you are all gonna be like O.o but, just asking b4 I lose exp without knowing if I had a chance.
Oh and by the way - My WHM gear is pretty good, dont worry.

I want SAM to sub for my DRG can I take him at 51WHM/25SMN I have Garuda for Aerial Armor as well & Shiva and Titan. I really want SAM for DRG sub

I killed the Guardian Treant solo as a 47PLD/23WAR. I have mostly Iron Musketeer+1 armor and Sphene rings +2 VIT each. I used a momento muffler to raise my VIT to a total of 30. I didn't need to use my 2hr but I did use one hi-ether. I could have skipped the ether and used the 2hr instead. I didn't bother to raise my TP before the fight and I think I got off 3 or 4 Seraph Blade WS. Fight wasn't overly difficult. Happy hunting!

haha a joke hit me a 58 blm for 40- but took long b/c i like to melee lol
I never actually bothered to get SAM but now that I am level 65 RDM I fgure what the hell. I asked my linkshell if they thought I could solo GT and they said they thought it would be close. On my way to Zi'tah I saw my lvl 62 DRK friend sitting around so I ask if he feels like coming to give a hand. The DRK ended up tanking because I couldn't hold hate over him.
The actual fight was pathetic, this guy hits like a ***** Willow, he was down in less than a minute and did less than 100 damage to the DRK. This thing can be soloed fairly easily by anything higher than lvl 50.

Me and my buddy tried this guy last night. I'm a lvl 45 smn he's a lvl 46 whm. After summoning Ifrit 3 times and kiting this mob it was to easy. My whm buddy had his Carby help helping, but Ifrit did most of the work. The mob didn't even touch us (thanks to Garuda's Aerial Armor).
Yeah, PLD17 sub, so sue me, I was nervous and figured having Cure II might help.
Well after wondering how to reach the ??? for a while I happened to notice I could run up the rocks near the ???. ^^;; Popped the treant, it proceeded to aggro, lumber over, miss a couple of times, and then finally connect for 38 damage. IIRC I had a crit hit me for around 61 at one point. But most of the time, he was whiffing (net Evasion was around 153).
Long story short, I used Bio II, one Drain, two Cure IIs, and ended down about 100HP, and I was in my "attack" gear instead of my "defense" gear. Worried for nothing. -.- The most annoying thing if you're lower-level is that its attacks are really fast, so you're getting hit (or fanned ;) about once every second on average. Can make casting a pain if your skill isn't high enough to not be interrupted.

I soloed this a couple of weeks ago as 50RDM/BLM.
At first, I was a little hestitant to try it, since I had little more trouble than expected soloing Forger. But I decided to go for it ( while preparing my {Chainspell} + {Warp} macro :p ) anyways.
The hardest part of soloing this guy was figuring out how to reach the damn ??? -_-. I had found it and was about 2 steps too far from being able to use a Hatchet on it. I ended up running around the zone for about 20 minutes until I realized you could simple step up to the ??? by stepping on the root right in front of it >.>
But on to the fight... this guy was ridiculously easy. The usual RDM solo strategies worked here ( Aquaveil, Blink, Stoneskin, Refresh ). Paralyze was *very* effective on this mob, although it wore off fairly quickly.
This mob is also very sleepable, if anyone was wondering. ^^

just did this quest the other day, should have did it sooner but playing as a samurai isn’t my forte. i was bored, there was no parties at the time, so i said what the hell. but took this thing on and forger as my thf and worked there asses *pause*, i mean it was total rape city.
I was in Zi'tah yesterday when some warrior asked for help. I told him to sit tight while i (PLD51) disposed of the mob. got scared at first since i never realy fought it before, didn't know it's strength and it was hitting increadibly fast. It died leaving me with low HP, even after spending all my mp on cures (whm sub ±50mp extra). It's doable, but i wouldn't recommend it. If the fight were to take longer, it would have surely killed me.

thanks dude I'm a 46rdm I'll try this thing later ^^
Wasn't easy.....but I solo'd it. I will never try anything like that again. I had 4HP and 0MP left when it died. I suggest 50+ melee to even attempt this one. Good luck!
I'm a 42 RDM/BLM Tarutaru do you think I could solo this thing, I have all spells and great gear.

I almost payed 10k to get this thing killed...that would of been a mistake! I'm redmage 42 and i went w/ my b/f lvl 44 pld we took it easly. Dont try to solo though if your lvl 40-45.

This guy was easy...
Me a 44RDM/22BLM and my friend a 45THF/22NIN took it in 3 minutes tops. I tanked it after he Hid/SATA on it behind me after I spawned it. Made sure I always had on blink/stoneskin/phalanx/refresh/protect2. I never had to cure but at the end of the battle I had 34/595 MP left after nukes and buffs. Piece of cake.

might be hard, but if 2 hour and get is some good shots, and dodge a lot, you may squeak by. Just to be on the safe side, take a healer with you.

Soloed him a week ago 51drg/war. Penta Thrusted him to death basically. Funny part was everyone said I should wait till I have a full party to beat him because he was so hard.

I just finished this quest. Me and a few buddies.
Me 31war/12nin and a mnk30/13war and a 30war/8blm and a 30whm/15rdm..... we killed this thing in like 5 mins... not that hard at all... I was the tank since i had blink.. then the monk would voke it so i could cast blink again.. we just repeated that over and over... we had a couple of X-potions just incase our whm run out of mp, but he had Hi-Ethers so we were set... and the bomd was easy 2. we did that one with out the war/blm... not that hard at all..
