Pride of the Mamool Ja

This is the Mamool Ja's signature weapon. The scary look is enough to scare many inexperienced adventurers.

I was surprised to find that this is actually a real type of weapon. Here's a quick snippet of information.

The macuahuitl (also called maquahuitl) is a weapon shaped like wooden club. Its sides are embedded with prismatic blades made from obsidian, a volcanic glass stone frequently used for tool making by the Aztec and other pre-Columbian Mesoamerican cultures.

The macahuitl was "three to four feet long, and three inches broad, with a groove along either edge, into which sharp-edged pieces of flint or obsidian were inserted, and firmly fixed with some adhesive compound". The rows of obsidian blades were sometimes discontinuous, leaving gaps along the side while at other times the rows were set close together and formed a single edge. (Although these are made from -1 versions and some added ingredients, the originals might have very well been made from obsidian and flint as depicted by the grey and black spikes coming out the sides.)

The macahuitl was sharp enough to decapitate a man. According to an account by Bernal Diaz del Castillo, one of Hernando Cort's conquistadors, it could even decapitate a horse. (Hence the +9 Attack and the + Enmity of the HQ version.)

The macahuitl also had some drawbacks. It takes more time to lift and swing a club than it does to thrust with a sword. More space is needed as well, so warriors advanced in loose formations. (Hence the -3 Accuracy.)

Solid sword for a rdm on a budget. Anelace or other more expensive swords would be better but come with a large price tag or are just hard to come by like joyeuse. The acc - on this is nothing to a rdm because if you're meleeing you're probably doing it solo on EP or maybe DC mobs and on those acc isnt an issue at all. AT 5-10k on my server i like this sword until i cant get together the money to spend on an anelace or martial anelace or get the people to take on charybdis and grab a joyeuse for my friend's rdm i use.
Um...

What? Espadon and Gluttony better than the +1 of that? ....yea right lol, Espadon is pure bullpoop for PLD and Durandal alone is better than Gluttony since it has no -stats and Enmity+1, dunno for you but for me, I can sacrifice VIT+7 for 3 Enmity at high lvls...

Yea...um..you war pld and drk can definitely choose your ******* Swords but i don't think this sword target users aren't really you guys. I mean really you fighters are so narrow sighted. Its best you don't compare different types of swords. This swords may very well an i deal choice for the other three jobs that can use it.

I have this sword, and it really boosts up the DMG for RDM,along with Tariqah, another good accuracy shield that balances out the -3 accuracy from the sword.
I own 3/5 of the Jaridah Set its very nice ^.^ and it goes along with this sword lol
Usually the Rhinochimeras for these are around 100k
