this seems like you would just look at it... can you somehow put other fish in there for it to fight? if not than this is pretty dumb and should have a differnt name

Bettas are often refered to as Siamese Fighting Fish. "Fighting" doesn't refer to the tank but rather to the fish, therefore the name isn't dumb. ^^

the breakdown:

Light Crystal - 500 GP or 1000 G
Betta - 20000 G
Bronze Ingot - 1000 G
Crawler Calculus - 200 G
Glass Sheet - 100000 G (no thanks to ladyjazz[inflation])
Goldfish Set - 80 Grabbin Goldfish Points
Lamp Marimo - ?
Lauan Lumber - 1000 G
Seglinde Putty - 29800 G

Unsure about how much these go for as a whole, of course, i'm not planning on selling mine at all, but I did see a few bazaars have this at 1,000,000 - 1,500,000 G on Phoenix server, how about the other servers?

Well if the subs are supposed to be the same as for goldfish bowl you can get by without having them leveled. I made a goldfish bowl with 59 WW, 8 smithing, and 0 alchemy. I did it on lightsday to be safe. My alchemy went up by .1 so it is definetly in there.

Once I get the last couple ingrediants togeter I'm going to try making one of these. I'll wait till lightsday again and pray.
That's me! and some info

<3 Yay, my picture was used!

I really like this bowl, it's nice. I put it next to my goldfish bowl. I do believe my alchemy was at 50~ish when I made this, and my smithing was at 14. I'd hesitate to guess, but I'd estimate the subs are the same skill for this tank as for the goldfish bowl, although I'm pretty sure the WW cap is higher.

The Lamp Marimo I bought off the AH, but the Betta I had to buy from a fisher I found. Original asking price was 500K! I was able to buy for 100 though.

Besides the fish, the Seiglinde putty and the glass sheet were both very difficult to come by. I made both of them from scratch materials, due to the unavailiblity of the items. I had to farm the silica for the glass as well.

This item is very much like the goldfish bowl, offering the same moghancements and is visually the same size, but layout-wise it is 2 blocks whereas the goldfish bowl is only one. That is probably the biggest disappointment, that it slightly throws off the balance of my moghouse.

Also, the fish occasionally disappears on my laptop XD I've only had it happen once, but since my character is a mithra, it did make for a very amusing picture. XD

Sadly, I was at least the second person on Bahamut to make this item ; ; I missed my chance at a 'first on Bahamut' again...

I did this fine with Alchemy 7, Smithing 4. Had Woodworking 51 though. Took me forever to get the materials, the gold fish set etc. But I did it, and I signed it for my bestest friend. :)~!

There is already a Freshwater Aquarium and a Saltwater Aquarium. Both "full size" aquariums have been around for over a year.
Can I make it?

Well i have no hard evidence for this, it is just simply my opinion so take it for what its worth but the goldfish bowl takes 10 woodworking, 7 alchemy, and 4 smithing, so seeing as this takes a 20 woodworking, id be willing to guess it takes around 14 alchemy and 8 smithing. Like i said, i have no evidence for this, just going on logic, but as we all know, thats somthing SE doesn't usually follow is logic but good luck too all, i cant wait to get my hands on one of these myself

I've seen a forum (sry can't remember it) with some dude standing next to his fighting fish tank and another screenie with the description signed by him.

On his website it said you'd just need 20 WW and alchemy and smithing is the same as for the goldfish bowl so 7 alchemy and 4 smithing.

Of course i'm not sure about it but i could imagine it's true if i'd find the forum i'll post it in here.

P.S. :I'm not responsible for any of your failed goldfish sets or other items used within this recipe. :P

You'll note that the tank is a furnishing, and as such can only be displayed in a Mog House. That being the case, who is standing behind the taru inside his own mog house? If someone is going to fake a screen shot, you'd think they'd atleast attempt to make a realistic fake.

you need to take a deep breath and open your mind a little more, that "person" standing behind him is most likely a mannequin....

Yeah, I still don't understand that (--) thing, does it just mean no cap, as in you get no smithing skill, but you need to have at least 1?

That's what I thought it was, maybe either unknown or you just have to have any skill at all in the craft. But whatever, I hope I can complete this no problem. Good bye!

The betta has always been a beautiful fish. It's nice to see SE make this furnishing. Even though it may have no siginificant purpose as far as a moghancement, it makes for a very nice showcase piece. I've been scooping goldfish every day since the event started in order to get enough sets to make these for my friends. Now I just need to find someone who can fish up the bettas for me. My fishing is only 31 w/o rings or any other equipment.

If anyone on Cerberus feels generous enough to help me out in the cause, I'm sure we can come to some arrangement, just send me a /tell in game, or PM me here.
