I raise bettas for my friends and for the petshop in town. it's a small town, so i dont make a lot of money at it. Betta's are VERY aggresive fish, in final fantasy terms they aggro too fin length and color. they fit very well in a tank with small fish that have small fins. tetra's small goldfish, ect. thy will kill guppies, or any fish that has a fish over 1/3 of an inch long, especially if it's red. best bet too keep betta's is find a pretty glass flower holder, fill it with water and throw the betta in. no air, stale water, he'll LOVE it. they actually breathe air, do not need aerated tanks. the pretty the betta is, the weaker it is normally. non-moving water is best for them.
so now that i'm done ranting, WHERE do i find some for in the game? it would be so neat, and there NEVER are any in the AH (Siren server)

I used to breed bettas also, i love the little critters! here's a fun fact: One spawn yielded 250 fry (baby betta for those of you who don't know what fry means). I had them all in a 75gal tank... and they NEVER fought. also, i was selling them for 75-160 a mated pair becuase of their colrs and fin types.
highest mated pure strain i have ever sold was 220 bucks. was a mated pair of natural yellow, they were FMDTCTs thats full-moon double-tailed crowntails.
They were so beautiful :) if you are interested in some of my breeding tips, let me know, ill probably check this item post again because i want one for ingame. i have been obsessed with trying to accquire one since i saw one months ago. any info would be useful ^^ thanks :)

My sister has a betta fish. Bettas r awesome and ...if you put another fish in a tank w/ a betta...the betta will kill the other fish. Just a little fact

Not entirely true-- really depends on the fishes temperment and space restrictions I suppose. I have had a male betta in a 10 gallon tank and another in a 30 gallon tank with a mix of angels, plecos, tetras, etc. With other peaceful fish, the betta will get along just fine and I have seen no problems in either betta with aggressions towards the other fish. I have had gauromi's [sp.] in the past, which most people say will be peaceful fish however mine were rather nasty towards the rest of my tank.
If you put 2 male bettas or a male and a female betta in the same tank, yes they will fight and try to off the other fish.
