No you can't fish this great sword up.... -_- why the hell would anyone ever think that. You can only obtain it by completing "Waking the Beast" which is almost impossible to do unless you have 15+ Summoners lvl 70+

Shiva grants a different weapon. THIS comes from the final battle vs all of the avatar's at the end of the "Waking the Beast" quest series that involves a bunch of alliance avatar battles. The last battle MAY drop 2 of these, but it may also drop 0. Happy hunting

Be kinda helpful if the quest link was actually ON here.... I was looking at swords for when i get my Blu higher and i saw the dmg/Acc on this i was like :O

hey how i get this sword i fight shiva or i fght somthing hardware
Have Shiva out in the party (under control of one of your summoners) and the latent will work. However, it only works WHILE the avatar is out. Same with all of the weapons from the alliance avatars.
Wow .. dragoon can use this? lol, useful.

Black mage can't use this, it's a typo, supposed to say blue mage.
According to the screenshot, only WAR, THF, PLD, DRK, SAM, and DRG can equip... not RDM, BLM, or BLU.
