Dark Amood
To all you out there that live by this weapon in XP parties need to do alittle research on your weapon choices. There are several reasons you want to buy and sell this axe after you get your uses out of it.
1.) Most WAR's tend to be pressured by 'Outside Influences' (I call them noobtastic DRK's) to level Axe's; well atleast well into their 60's. WAR's have an A- in grade with Axe's which is not too terribly bad at all. I followed this path and did what most other people wanted me to come as because of the Rampage Whores. Problem is that when you are leveling Axe's, you tend to put Great Axe on the backburner. This wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that you probably have a fight with Maat soon. Most WAR's will tell you that G.Axe is the way to go in the Maat fight and that a skill of atleast 225+ is recommended for the fight; and I wholeheartedly agree. This is the Great Axe of choice if you want skillups.
2.) The Dark Amood has DMG comparable to other Great Axes of its level but what this bad boy is missing is bonus stats like STR, ATK, and VIT (which I believe VIT plays a role in the WS Steel Cyclone) Honestly, I would recommend a Colossal Axe +1 or a Pendragon Axe because of the added stats. Even if you dinged Lv. 68 WAR, guess what you get at Lv. 69; Berserker's Axe! So really this Great Axe will have its 15 minutes of fame.
3.) But you gotta admit though that this is a pretty sweet looking axe, it almost looks demonic with all the curves on its blades. And it matches the Hauberk too!
Either way, I think this is the Great Axe for people who have gone the Rampage route in XP parties and need to get their Great Axe Skillz up for their Maat fight. I kept this Axe for a while before selling it for a cool 35K on Unicorn. Just throwing fellow WAR's some extra's just incase they turned into Rampage whores like myself. Dont pay over 50K for this though, save your money for those other sweet Meat Slicers!

I can confirm that the latent is active on first quarter moon. I tried this out yesterday and /shocked. Went up 10 lvl's in a couple hours. It would hit 3 times a round often.
First Quarter is 45% to 60% moon. Going towards full moon. The other way from 60% to 45% is last quarter.
okay, wth is first quarter moon? I brought mine out when moon was at 24% thinking it'd work but didn't ><. Exactly what % is this first quarter your talking about.
I'd probably get them both and use them interchangibly. I'd like to see what my war/drg could do with them on jumps

I dunno why people are saying this is for skillup, if you're a WAR and your great axe isn't capped, you're a gimp, period.

the regulare Amood trigers in first quarter moon i get that, im wondering if this trigers the same or might be a different moon phase since this is a "Dark" version. also how is this thing crafted ? i did not see it at top of forum. its only 300k atm on leviathan.. man the prices are droping on everything. but would be cool if i could get it crafted. Id love to cap my GA skill with this Sweet GA.

btw, it works like mercurial sword and jailer weapons in that double attack can proc along with the weapon, even on both swings, allowing a potential 4 swings in one attack round

The latent is on when in first quarter moon phase, or so I've read.

heart sneathcer, senjuinirkio, mighty bow. . . . alot of weapons with a dmg in their latent, and always the latent dmg replaces the original when active.
Besides 85+55 = 140 dmg. . .that would make this gaxe like the mostestest ultimatest weapon considering the strongest weapon so far is the fully upgraded relic scythe, Apocalypse, with a(n in comparision almost meager) dmg of 103. . .

It's because it also has the mecurial latent affect, so they has to lower the DMG or it would be extremely strong during latent affect. Anyone know what trigger latent on this?
