Hades Vs Destroyers

Right, 75 Monk, have these and destroyers both.

Solo, destroyers and these do similar DoT, 6% crit vs 7acc i havent seen much difference. The eva and subtle blow on these make these superior to destroyers when solo.

In exp, personally i take hate a lot whatever weapon i use, Asuran Fists is a hate magnet. Again for pure dmg, these are comparable to destroyers, and allow you to drop some other +acc gear to add +att gear, overall outweighing destroyers. The subtle blow helps whatever. The eva is nice, and helps you to survive the inevitable hate taken. Taking hate as a pt member isnt always a bad thing, for example if your tank is shadowtanking (nin/ or /nin) then there are times when taking hate will allow the tank the chance to recast utsu: ichi or for the cast timers to recharge. A final note on taking hate, if we were'nt meant to take hate, why in gods name do we have the HP that we do...?

Merit is similar to exp so far, again i would argue these over destroyers, though carry both as everything is situational.

Salvage - mnk tanks <3 these. end of.

Mnk burn pts on skeles, your not gonna miss much whatever, so the +7 acc is slightly wasted, and skeles acc sucks *** anyhow, thus wasting the +7 eva. Emnity is irrelevant. In this case, the slightly faster strikes and the extra crits from destroyers is prefered.

Designed for MNK tanks in mind, got my pair today since my mnk is a tank specifically for Salvage. Could probably be used in a good tp burn party as well, but wearing these along with going /war you should probably learn quick that it's a no no.

People say monk cannot use these, and they are retarded.

In salvage and Nyzle Assualt, Mnk/nin tanks are Very much requested.
You can keep hate with these, Have massive subtle blow, Have accuracy to do more damage with Asuaran fists to keep hate again.

what did we learn here today kids.
- Monk has very high haste gear and +12 haste with blk belt.
-subbed with nin and these hades santi give you massive subtle blow
-Acc makes you hit more and WS harded, keeping your hate.
-You can't provoke, so you use enm from Arhats,Hades,and your damage.
- Evasion on these hades combined with the haste for your shadows is good.
-If your shadows are down, you still have -physical dmg taken gear, and a +15 genbu kubuto which lets you take even less damage, and Makes your chakra stronger, and with a merited chakra, you can regen.
-With Merited counters you can counter more, with a merited chi-blast, You can stop TP, which helps you when you tank, and with Mantra Merited, You can get more HP, which helps any tank.

You wanna tank NQ HNMs, Do salvage, Tank faust, or do Nyzle isle or other assaults as a mnk tank. These are the weapon of choice, I've seen it.

If you just want to DD, and Exp party, Then destroyers are for you.

Whoever this deathcue person is going around saying these were designed with monk in mind.....obviously knows nothing about Monk OR Puppetmaster.... Anyone with half a brain can see that these were clearly designed with Puppetmaster in mind....not monk.....or warrior.....or beastmaster....maybe ninja.... But definately these are puppetmaster weapons.

I'll Clarify.

+7 enmity -> Keeps hate off puppet(85% of pups use Stormwaker w/whm or blm head)
+7 evasion -> dodge more = puppet needs to heal you less = [Conserve MP] with /nin or /thf(farming etc.) youll really see a difference.
+7 subtle blow -> give the mob less TP *gasp* you take less dmg from specials = [Conserve MP] /nin or /mnk this will only reduce the amount of tp you give the mob even more(Always good).
+7 accuracy = raging fists lands more hits making a stronger WS.


+18dmg = highest dmg HTH weapon available to PUP(The +1 will only be slightly more DPS due to the lower delay)
+51 delay = makes up for lack of Martial Arts job trait if you arent subbing monk(Which you really shouldnt..../war or /nin is suggested). IE faster attacks.

Granted all of these attribute can be put to use by all the jobs listed on the weapon itself,the one job that would get the most use out of them is puppetmaster. Yes ninja could use them for a huge boost to enmity which they sorely need and the eva,acc,sb always helps,they would do more dmg with katana's(Seeing as thats how nin is even able to tank,through DPS,thats all that matters). Only way i can see monk using these in a sensible way is mnk/nin in a tp burn party where the hades monk is the intended tank,and even then the +7 enmity isnt gonna make that much of a difference unless the other monks gear really stinks.

very nice, I have these for my pup and I love them. As if pup didn't have enough evasion and enough ways to foil enemy attacks, these just make it less likely that an enemy will be able to hit you or retaliate much against you. especially good if you are soloing /nin to keep hate off the puppet and use with Ventriloquy (enmity swap merit).

+7 enmity blows, i have gear that lowers enmity because hate comes quickly
and isnt good for the pt, mages and tanks wont be happy with these, think ill
stick to solo with these other than that ~>Destroyers are the key to good dmg
and a smoother pt IMO

since MNK hit for a lot of dmg they draw a lot of hate, wich is NOT good.
Enmity gives you more hate, wich equals in even more trouble. I'd go with Destroyers over these, at least while in exp pt. Acc really shouldn't be a problem at 75 and the low delay is really good for fast TP building.

my average punches go for 60-110 each without Uber gear.

l know monk way better then you.

to any monks go for accuracy and eat attack food but mix in strength and attack, be balanced.

for every 4-5 attack factor 1 strength and get your accuracy above 30

Get Hades all purpose weapon - trust me.

I have a friend with these and it has nothing to do with MNK. These Are great for ninja. My friend has these with tons of other Enmity gear. They are just great for stuff that you wouldn't do much damage on anyways but need all the enmity you can get. I need to find some Gil to buy these for my ninja.

Don't get me wrong, Destroyers are much better than these for XP, or any situation where someone else is expected to tank. I just didn't want the gear **** over here to discourage newbies from trying these out for themself.

- No, once you unlock Destroyers they are unlocked forever.
- I crit about 15% of the time with merits.
- I only mention that these are a great MNK -toy- for soloing or doing other specific things with. If you exp with these on MNK the healer might let you die because he/she is sick of you taking hate.

Get yourself a pair of Destroyers and break them, you will fall in love. (If you haven't already)

I just made 3 of these babies, and I wanted to correct the previous poster its bonecraft lvl 101 wood 60 and smithing ?? (most likely less than 30 smithing due to the iron ingot)

A friend of mine tried making this with bone 100 wood 50 smithing 60 and failed twice ; ; but after that i made the first 3 on the server!

This takes Bonecrafting 100, ingredients are Cerebus clawsX2, bloodwood lumberX1, Iron IgnotsX2. about 10 of these have sold on Fenrir, about 3M each. I want these so bad. but I am tapped for gil. almost thought about pawning my scorp harness and potent belt>.<. Nice set of knucks anyway.

these are definately better than adamans, if you solo a lot too. they also have low delay:damage ratio and they have third best damage i think. for not being a monk PUP sure have a wide viriety of H2H weapons to choose from.
