Like a lot of posts here, I was trying for Fire ore. Maybe it's because I harvested on a full moon, but, I got 51 sticks of cinnamon. I dont need 51 sticks of Cinnamon...

I could have sworn that the recipe for Fire Ore was with a Brass Flowerpot, but I guess it's actually a porcelain pot.

Damn. I barely have the Inventory space to NPC all of this crap off. Would'nt be so bad if I had a need to make Pies or cookies. But, I'm Melee...

Slightly off topic. Sorry about that.
LOL, got 12 stacks of cinnamon from gardening.

Was now time for me to harvest the result of Tree Saplings. Got 12 stacks of cinnamon from 5 pots and 1 Fire ore ^^

By the way if you don't know, a fire ore is a really nice harvest it now sell for 990k on Fairy server, cant wait to see what I get from next 6 pots in a weak.
Drop
# Jun 24 2005 at 12:46 PM Rating: Decent
I swear I got these as a drop in Elshimo Lowlands ... wish now I could remember what it was we were killing, as I need them to make pies now. Came here in hopes that the mob that drops would be listed. If anyone knows ... please post.

And, yes, I know all the NPC's that sell it, and frankly, it's cheaper per stack by far on AH on Bismarck. But, apple pies are not going for much either. 1.5k / stack most AH's ... so 236 is WAY too much since it takes 3 of them to make a stack of pies. And even though the AH price is lower, there's still no profit in it. Only way for me to make any profit on pies would be to farm the cinnamon myself.

I used porcelin pots and sapplings ...

Planted on Dark's Day
Fed Fire Crystal on Fire's Day
Fed Fire Crystal on Fire's Day
Harvested on Fire's Day at a 0% Moon

There were 10 Pots:
1: 56 Sitcks of Cinnamon
2: 24 Sitcks of Cinnamon
3: 2 Ice Clusters (wtf?)
4: 48 Sitcks of Cinnamon
5: 28 Sitcks of Cinnamon
6: 3 Ice Clusters
7: 51 Sitcks of Cinnamon
8: 19 Sitcks of Cinnamon
9: 39 Sitcks of Cinnamon
10: 40 Sitcks of Cinnamon

I was pissed ... must be the moon phase that screwed me up ... NPC'd all of it as it took up 100% of my mogsafe...

first all ores being grown should be done on maple tables in proc. pots. 2nd the moon has to be 10% or less on darksday to harvest

cinnamon at 2000/stack??

Jueno and Bastok routinely sell cinnamon for 2000/stack on my server, but this is well below the vendor price of 262*12. which makes me think there MUST be another source of cinnamon. where are these sellers getting it to profit on ah at such a low price? consider jueno tax, and they must be getting stack for less than 1500! is this dropped, grown, or desynthed somehow not listed here?

According to this post, yes it can be grown, although I haven't tested the results myself.

Cinnamon is also sold by the "Ghemi Sinterilo", at G-7 in the city of Kazham. She's that little shop on the pier as you're getting ready to leave Kazham via airship. The price here is approximately 262 gil.

If your country owns the Elshimo Uplands, then one of the "region" NPCs in town will sell it (they'll either tell you to buy their goods from "xxx region" or say they can't get their shipment in or something like that). Sometimes, the "region" NPCs will sell their wares significantly less than other NPCs (ie. saruta oranges for ~60 at the culinary guild, but ~30 at the sarutabaruta NPC near Odin's Gate in Windurst).
