Since there seems to be so much confusion concerning Maple Sugar, I thought I'd just make one post to clear things up.
Maple Sugar can be bought from the Auction House under Food - Ingredients. It normally sells for more than you'll want to pay depending on the week's conquest results.
Maple Sugar can be bought from Benaige in Southern San D'oria inside Raimbroy's Grocery when San D'oria is FIRST or SECOND in conquest. Also, she does NOT sell out. Third place means no Maple Sugar for you. :p
You can buy Maple Sugar from Kopopo/Chomo Jinjahl in BUT[/b] only when it has been sold to them from a PC.
The confusion with the regional venders coinciding with this item is false. BUT whoever holds the Faurengandi region will sell Maple Logs which can be synthed into Maple Sugar, capping at 21 Woodworking.
So, if all else fails, Sandy is in last, and you have no Woodworking skills, you're just going to have to suck it up and buy it from the Auction House at inflated prices. Because they know you can't buy it anywhere, and they'll take all your gil...

This just happened on Siren today when San d'Oria fell to third place in Conquest. It's the middle of the Harvest Festival event, and everyone wants to craft sweets, but no maple sugar to be found. It's a sad sad day for Culinarians everywhere. ;.;

I've seen it sold by the culinarian.
Norvallen just needs to be in control. By anyone. And she never sells out. As far as I've seen, only Guild Shops ever sell out of items.
Wanted to cook-up a few Melon pies to skill up to 64 -- Cheapest way skilling-up is by pies.
Go to find this NPC (States this NPC in a other guide I use) I'm on my Sandy mule. Yet no sugar? Sandy is last in conquest. And I'm almost 99.99% I have bought Sugar from this NPC before.
Is it possible I caught it by luck and got the sugar when Sandy was in control of a region? Or Top in the conquest?

I have seen Benaige selling this before, but must be a certain region control, because it's not there very often. Anyone know what region or when this is sold there?
Wish it was a full time selling item, making it takes too long, even at 69 woodcrafting. I only get a few HQs, would rather just buy it to cook with, and AH prices are a rip off @5k a stack, when the you can make them for 2k or less synthing (much less when you HQ them)

Who are the NPC's in each country who sell this?
this has a sub-craft of woodworking above 20.
I got a .1 woodworking skillup while synthing these - I already have 20 woodworking.

after making many of them after hitting 21 woodworking, I did not gain any more levels on that skill, so I feel that it's safe to say it's a 21 subcraft.

If norvallen is occupied by Beastmen, you cannot buy this at the grocery, regardless of who is in 1st, 2nd,3rd.

Benaige only sells maple sugar when Sandy is in first, the same rules applies at all shops, the higher the conquest rank, the more items a countries shop will sell.
Actually, I just bought these today and San d'Oria is in 2nd place, allied with 3rd place Windurst.
Benaige sells this for 41 gil to someone with Rank 1 Fame (San d'Oria native).
especially if you're gonna cook too. I was stuck as to what to make at wood15... now what to do with the many stacks i have...

I don't know where you can buy this, but I've been synthing it as a lvl 13 carpenter with very good success. Many .1 and .2 skill ups with few failures even though its skill cap is all the way up at 21! 1 Lightning Crystals + 1 maple log = 3 maple sugar (more for HQ synths I'm sure). Its great cause I get a butt ton of maple logs when logging in Ghelsba, yes.

Benaige in Sandoria does sell this. You just have to be there on Sunday-Tuesday during the week to get it. She sells out extremely fast. But, yes, she does carry it.

She can't sell out.... and it doesn't matter what day... Sandy has to be 1st or 2nd.

These become Rank-B at lvl 17. I used them to raise my skill from 17 to 18.
I managed to make this item with only Woodworking 11 both With and Without image support... Maybe i'm just lucky?
I'm sure a regional vender does but no idea which. Derfland and Ronfaure checked. Headed to Mhuara to check there too. Nope, not in Mhuara either.

Culinary GShop in Windust doesnt sell it. and Benaige doesn't sell Maple Sugar too. Where else can I find it?

If you mean the Culinarians guild shop, no, it does not sell there, at all. I have checked every time windurst had a new region and when it has been in 1st. It only sells in San d'Oria.
