I haven't been counting but there are about 8-10 gigas on the top floor and I've killed them all in a circuit about 5 times before seeing one... that's about 40-50 so yeah I believe it.
Just because you have different luck or have preconceived notions about the game does not mean others are lying. I'm 0/28 on kung fu shoes, gave up and bought them.
edit: I mean Moldy Buckler drops not bracelets from Alky. Since this is the Moldy buckler page and zag wasn't specific. I see now he COULD have meant the bracelets. Still... 0/28 kung fu boots so 0/96 may be a padded number but I bet it sure feels like 0/96.

Edit again: spent ALL night up in the tower. More horns than bucklers. Found a 75sam/dnc can solo both pallas and alky. After tonight's experience, I believe the guy who says he's 0/96.

O kotes arent more then 1/10, Fumas arent more then 1/10
E-bow, CC, all the rare items in the game arent even 0/96...
Hell 100 piece currencies in dynamis aren't even 0/96

I am 0/85 on Alky drop now^^ Have killed him with 3 TH4(At same time) multiple TH3 and TH2&1 never drops. I dont know why SE has made this drop so rare, but its becoming bullsh*t. SE needs to make Bracers Rare/Ex so either the mass swarms of sellers will stop camping and a few others who are there every day to make gil when people need theese. Sorry for ******** just makes me mad how they do this. BTW LS friends who have been trying to help me get this got the drop as soon as I logged off to go to work. /wrist I have the worst luck ever.....

Must be a low drop rate on this shield me and my Pld buddy have killed hundreds of gigas with no drop we get tons of testimonies and Pallas pop item but no shield yet. we have my taru with TH2 7 more levels till i have th3 with her well see if that helps drop rate "/
I got this buckler off a Gatekeeper on the 11th floor at random. We were trying for Pallas' Horn but I got this.. Then the best thing in the world happened, of my LS' officers Brandonn(Empyreal Paradox on Kujata)the next night said he'd gotten a group for fighting Alkyoneus if I'd hurry to the tower. So I did, I popped and I got them! :D I was so happy and shocked I got the bracelets :) YAAY! So yes, they DO drop off the Gigas in those rooms, it just takes a while. Good luck :)
I agree. I wonder if it drops from the ghosts too. I have killed nearly 100 of the Jotunn and never seen a buckler drop. I might try the ghosts and see what happens there. Unless someone can post definitive proof of the drop with a SS.

i dont have a SS, but i`ve gotten bucklers off of wildkeepers, gatekeepers, and a friend of mine sd he got 1 off of the wallkeepers. hope that helps some, just a real low drop rate 1/2 on brac. though, sold 1st pair, working on 2nd to use :P

I know people claim that this and the horn drop from any Gigas on the 11th and 12th floor, but I haven't had them drop off any but the Gatekeeper. Anyone got sheer proof they drop from any?
This, like the horn used to pop Pallas, drops from any of the Jotunn on 11th and 12th floors.
W/e W/e I do what I want w/e.
I would guess from its description it's dropped from the ghosts... it does say "past" victims.
