I do with main Perdue hangar. I notice the extra acc more than the attack, but it's all good.

This is a really good weapon for WHM. The damage is wonderful!

Darksteel Maul has DMG:39 and Delay:340
Perdu Wand has DMG:39 and Delay:216 (while below 100%TP)

This is almost 40% more damage (37.3658% or something close). If you brought the Delay up to the Darksteel's level, it would look like this:

Perdu Wand
DMG:53 Delay:340

Or, looking at it from the Perdu's Delay,

Darksteel Maul
DMG:24 Delay:216

It is a significant damage increase. This is probably going to be best used as WHM/NIN, in the secondary weapon slot. The latent will still be active, but you can keep something like a Brass Jadagna or Sea Robber Cudgel in the Main weapon slot, keeping the DMG of your main hand above 40, so Hexa Strike continues to be a powerful hitter.

It's probably the best off-hand weapon for just plain damage. Items like the Kraken Club, and other multi-hit weapons, are used purely for TP gain.

When not /NIN, this is probably the best Damage weapon for Club that exists aside from Mjollnir. This is also a lot more fun to obtain. Complete 50+ assault missions, make 2-5 million gil in profit from selling the rings and earrings you buy with all the assault points, and do Besieged each day. End result after 2 months: you're rich, walking around with Chief Sergeant rank, and carrying one of the highest damage club weapons in the game.

That's a good way of looking at it, but i've been thinking about this for /nin and i think this then presents a problem, as the DOT is soo considerably higher then any other club whm can use, what do you offhand or mainhand to it? You wouldn't offhand a multihit, as you might as well get the brass jadagna for that. If you offhand this to a morgenstern for example, the +6% crit rate is nice, but the perdu is 2/3 of the delay of the morg, so you'd be slowing down your DOT? Looks like /war could be a much better option for this, or /rdm with a enspell (certainly know /rdm solo with this and a viking or genbu is sweet).

Actually, call me crazy, but I sub /PLD with this, and wear a Genbu Shield and a -5% physical damage cape. It's very nice for soloing Even Match enemies, especially if you're in Sky or somewhere where you can wear Signet for the added defense and evasion bonus. Even Match pots and birds in Sky are fun to solo, especially if you're farming coffer keys.

If you do sub Ninja, I would highly suggest using this as an off-hand item, and using Martial Wand in your main hand. Let me show why:

Martial Wand has DMG: 35 Delay 290. Added to the Delay 216 of Perdu Wand, it's up to Delay 506. Since you're Dual Wielding, there is a haste effect of say -15% of the delay, and then another -15% delay for the actual Haste spell.
So 15% off 506 = Delay 430
Second 15% off = Delay 366
So your damage (while under 100% TP) will be DMG:74 Delay 366

The latent on Perdu Wand is active as long as you're below 100% TP, and as soon as you get above 100% TP, the Martial Wand grants you twice your current TP% for your weapon skill. Some people like to save up 150% TP to get the full 300% effect, but I personally would rather use it at 100%, get the 200% effect, and get an extra weapon skill in.

That's the best advice I can give for dual wielding. Have one latent effect in your favor below 100% TP, and once that latent is gone, pop off a 200% TP powered Black Halo or Hexa Strike every time. This should more than make up for the lost damage due to the delay of a second weapon in dual wielding.

This is incorrect, the TP bonus from Martial Wand does not double your current TP, it increases the ammount of effective TP you have by 100%. Thus, a person saving up to 150% TP would not perform a 300% TP weaponskill, they would perform a 250% TP weaponskill. There are many wands you may want to mainhand with a Perdu Wand, the Martial Wand isn't really that notable. Presumably, if you're dual wielding Wands, you're a White Mage and will therefore probably want to use Hexa-Strike, the TP mod of which isn't that terribly impressive.

just a thougth but latent only in effect when below 100% tp which means if you main hand it you only get 34 dmg which there are a few better clubs whith higher dmg, and if you off hand well... prudence rod, octave club, kraken club, ext...
Wow
# Mar 12 2007 at 9:37 PM Rating: Decent
If this works like the line of Weapons including Maneater/Blau Dolch/Wagh Baghnaks, All I can say is WOW! This would mean the latent dmg is always in effect as long as you are under 100tp, and should also get a 15-18 atk bonus, and +5 acc bonus. Just look at that DELAY on this weapon - besides multi-hit weapons, this quite possibly has the best DPS rating in the whole game! Imagine a whm using Hexa-strike on skeletons with this... Or even an RDM using it when they have to solo mobs weak to blunt, and strong to piercing when Joyeuse or Mensur epee are fairly useless. It's a shame that it's one more item that you have to give up your life to earn, due to the insanely high rank to obtain - which I just cant find an LS or static to get anywhere in ToA missions/assaults...

This is an item you get in exchange for 40,000 imperial standing points. You are eligible with the rank of chief sergeant.
