For all you Naruto Fans, this new item is named after Orochimaru, the main protagonist of Naruto. In addition, there are 2 more new items with references to Naruto:

Sasuke Katana
Sarutobi Kyahan

Sasuke is the "vessel" Orochimaru to inhabit, and Sarutobi is the name of the Third Hokage, the man who sacrifices his life in a futile attempt to kill Orochimaru which inevitably seals off Orochimaru's ability to form hand seals.

SE is watching too many animes~

no, SE takes it's references from the mythologies of cultures around the world, not from pop culture. Blizzard is the company with the pop culture references in their game (one of the many reasons it sucks)

orochi is the name of a legendary japanese dragon.

sasuke sarutobi was a legendary ninja made popular in children's folk tales in the early 1900s.

sasuke has since become a popular all-purpose ninja name, hence its apearance in naruto.

it is also the name of a popular japanese game show which we in the states know as Ninja Warrior.

sarutobi means "monkey jump" incidentally.

I wish I could rate you up. Thank you for the correction of that GODAWFUL statement.
Orochi is pretty sweet, not some lame anime reference.
