profit = bad

I make about 3k profit off of a batch(144, 12 stacks) of these. The profit is horrible unless you can farm the meat.

Does anyone know what the effect of this would be with the Opo-opo Crown?

EDIT: And the Attack boost is 21.90% not 22% >_>

I am a lvl 11 thief. Being the least wanted class EVER (sub- lvl 20), I can honestly tell you, these are a required staple for me to make it to 15 (when ppl will actually look at me for more then a passing glance). With the proper Armor, and weapon, this stuff makes thieves better then most warriors. Lets face it, you don't need to heal a person if they are not getting hit:)

Keep up the good work, 3k is worth 3-5 lvls a stack.

# Apr 03 2004 at 10:03 AM Rating: Decent
is that the only merchant who sells the stuff, I heard there was someone in Selbina who sold it too...any one know who it is?
make this for cash? really?
# Mar 21 2004 at 11:44 PM Rating: Decent
I dont think ppl will stupid enough to make this to level up their cooking... (or maybe there is).

if you smart enough u can get to lvl 50 on cooking without attempt a single try on Kabobos. so when you are lvl 50+, u can have more chances to make Chief Kabobo, which is 7k per stack on my sever(Azura) more than 2 time of the price of normal Kabobos.
RE: make this for cash? really?
# Oct 11 2004 at 10:59 PM Rating: Decent
Well you cant get to lvl 50 without making this bc you have to make this to pass the guild test for lvl 40
RE: make this for cash? really?
# May 19 2004 at 11:38 PM Rating: Decent
actually i did since i had all ingredients cept meat saved up from farming and watnot and it worked quite well for skillups and id juss bazaar them over night.

yes, unless you can farm the crystals, meat and onions (the biggest portion you'd spend on these suckers) DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT use these for skillups. otherwise, youll end up at level 38 wondering why your equipment sucks so much and asking friends, "hey, wasnt cooking supposed to help me SAVE money?" Follow the link above for Cockatrice Meat. It will show you it drops from the Cockatrice family of mobs. Then follow the link for the Cockatrice family to see the members, their levels and what zones they can be found in.

The whole board works this way ^^
Mithkabobs
# Feb 08 2004 at 11:39 AM Rating: Default
The recipe is:

1 Fire Crystal
1 Cockatrice meat
1 bulb mhaura garlic
1 thing of Kazham Peppers
1 Wild onion

I lvled from 35 cooking skill to 40 with them. 1 set of ingredients yields 12 mithkabobs. They sell singly around 180 gil, or in a stack for about 2200.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 08 2004 at 1:49 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) From the Ramuh server.

On Siren, the price of ingredients is about the same as listed above. However, a stack of kabobs sells at AH for ~2500 gil. (Jeuno is ~2900 gil, however you're spending an extra 500 gil in taxes to sell it there.)

2500 x 12stacks = 30,000 gil
Price to make = ~20,000 gil

That is a 10,000 gil PROFIT. Not to mention kabobs are in the Top Ten of fastest selling items at AH.

Just remember all the "poor" people you're giving your gil to at the AH the next time you buy your stack of kabobs.

Price to make = ~20,000 gil

12xCockatrice Meat = 17000
12xWild Onion = 4000
12xGarlic (assuming beastman don't control Kulshushu) = 1000
12xPepper = 600
12xFire = 1500

Costs = 24k

Those prices are from Shiva on post date. I find that even if you list them at 2500 some moron will come in and sell 7 stacks in a row at 2100-2300 and it takes sometimes over a week for price to get back up to 2500. It is to the point I have stuff that gets returned from AH. Also, lots of n00bs dying in Maze at the moment so only week a month does Windurst control Kulshushu so garlic typically runs you 3000-3500/stack.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 11 2004 at 8:50 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) On my server they sell for around 3k a stack in Jeuno.

sucks for you're server lol. sell for 230 each on my server, kujata. 7k profit for 12 of 12.

...why would you sell them in AH jueno? -_- that's just plain silly. for one, there's a high risk of you being undersold. just bazaar.
RE: Hmm?
# Jan 28 2004 at 9:27 PM Rating: Decent
The recipe makes 12 mithkabobs... and I rarely fail at level 36 cooking skill. Out of 2 stacks of ingredients I failed once... but I did have advanced imagery.
BUY THEM!!
# Jan 23 2004 at 1:01 AM Rating: Default
I don't see why any1 wants to make them, it costs like 300 each at AH , and if u make it by urself, Don't metion the onions, pepper... just the fire crystal will at least cost u 180... So buy them, it's cheaper that way. (unless you r lvling ur Cooking skill, but if you can reach lvl 39+ I'm sure you don't care about few hundred Gils =)

Lol. I stopped at this level just to make the meat mithkabobs. You make a pretty good profit. Definitely when you set a bazaar up in Jueno or areas before a zoning to a battlefield. ;)

When people set up shop like that, I greatly appreciate it! Saves the trip of running back to the city so I can get back into battle and start rockin' much sooner.

These can be made reliably with little failure at 39.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 21 2004 at 6:10 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Brady guides are full of it. First of all, you need to be in the 40s to make this item. Any REAL FAQ and REAL USERS will tell you this.

This is the lvl 40 cooking skillcap test from windhurst item, I got apprentice from it ^^

Oh, and paying 200gil isnt bad at all per kabob, they cost right around 180gil per kabob. This is ofcourse assuming you buy the cockatrice meat off the auction house, which sells on my server for 14k or so a stack.

Not that Irou should care, he has all the gil he needs. You can find him bot fishing in Port Windurst, Windurst Walls, and sometimes on the Sarabartaru cliffs 24/7.

If he isn't there, he is playing his loot rich summoner. Send him a tell for some free gils. :)

seriously... if this is really lvl 0 i will try to make some. but if it's lvl 36, which makes more sense... well, i will have to wait then. if someone can really say yes, i can make this at lvl 0, and enough people back that up, i'll believe it.
RE: Hmmm
# Jan 06 2004 at 8:14 AM Rating: Decent
Try it at level 0. If it IS level 36, the game wont allow you to try it yet.

I can't find any "Kazham Mustard" and trying it with the Peppers got the "you are too low" message.

Either the mustard is really hard to get or it is just a lvl 36 recipe...as would be expected for a high level food...oh well back to making distilled water for a 500 gil loss.

the Brady strategy guide says that you need to be rank novice in cooking and need fire crystal, kazham peppers, mhaura garlic, wild onion, cockatrice meat.
