i have caught a fet greedie ?

i was told it has oswalds ring inside it but i dont have a clue how to get it out tried trading it with the galka in the fishing guild but he just tells me to talk to the little galka in the other part of the guild

what am i doing wrong ?
these do what now?

These are all i have been catching at Siren Sands in Valkurm Dunes.

Level 7 fishing, Bamboo rod, Sliced Sardine left over from leveling cooking.

Is their any use to these suckers? they dont sell at all on the AH (fenrir) and when they do its 1k a stack. im assuming guild points.

Update:

To what its worth, i pulled in 2 stacks of fish off 3 stacks of bait before my rod broke. Got o.6 skill up. Firesday, moon at 67%. Switched to compound rod to finish off my last stack of bait, and was only able to reel in 3. They became very tough to reel in. Caught (or would have, i cancled) 2 monsters the entire time. Used no fishing gear other than Rod and Bait of course.

The best way to catch these without a doubt is with a Carbon rod and a Minnow in Selbina. Go right next to the guy you get your sub-job quest from and cast right there. Make sure you bring more than one minnow though in case you line snaps. Your line will mainly snap because of the Fat Greedie you catch there for the Under the Sea Quest. It always helps to use full fishing gear too (^.^)

Other Uses?

Does this fish have any other uses? The food effect doesn't really sound all that great...so it has to do something else, right?

You can fish fish that have a level cap of 15 skill points above your specified skill.
You will occasionally catch fish that are much higher than your skill.
Hope this helps ;x
