LMAO! that is the funniest thing I read in a long time. I don't think I was EVER into eating rocks. I believe only pregnant women, small children and people in 3rd world countries are ever REALLY into eating rocks, dirt and other non-nutritive substances. In fact, I think the DSM-IV has a name for that -- PICA (not Pikko).

White gruel?
# Dec 30 2005 at 9:54 PM Rating: Decent
To say it is a white gruel there is very little ingredients which actually make this a gruel. The only thing this recipe springs to mind is distilled mineral water.

Cap for me on this item is 1360 guild points.

Meaning: if they're worth 50 guild points, you have to hand in 28 non-hq soups to get the points.

With the price of fire crystals on our server right now, you can npc buy this for less than half the cost of the crystal alone! But... they don't stack (I don't think), so... you'll have a lot of soups to carry.

At npc price, it's about 4 gil per guild point. Not horrible but there are more cost efficient items. Too bad I want my hat as soon as possible! *clears space in the good ole' gobbiebag*

OK GUYS, IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU MORE HIT POINTS. IT MAKES YOUR HIT POINTS HEAL UP FASTER WHEN YOU REST. OK? THERE IS NO CHANGE IN TOTAL HITPOINTS.

IT'S LIKE WEARING THE VAGABOND OR NOMAD CLOTHES. YOU HEAL FASTER WHEN RESTING.

I CAN'T REALLY THINK OF ANY OTHER WAY TO SAY IT TO MAKE IT CLEAR TO YOU.

wisdow soup
# Dec 22 2003 at 11:05 PM Rating: Good
I got a wisdow soup while making this. Effect was a +1 to all stats as well as the regen effect.
Really nice.
Hm..
# Dec 13 2003 at 8:36 PM Rating: Decent
Do you have to be resting for the extra HP regen to take effect? Or is it constantly in effect even if you're not resting?
RE: Hm..
# Dec 14 2003 at 10:22 PM Rating: Good
I believe you have to be resting (aka Healing)

The Pebble Effect
# Dec 10 2003 at 2:54 AM Rating: Excellent
This is based on very minimal testing, but it does seem to coincide with everyone else's observations of the effects.

Apparently the normal regeneration rate while healing increases by +1 hp every tick, and starts 10 hp. This means you gain hp back by these increments: 10, 11, 12, 13.

However, once the soup is imbibed, it seems that you gain a +2 on the initial heal tick. The pattern now resembles the following: 12, 13, 14.

I have not yet checked if this stacks, but I will do so next time I've been severely beaten by the Pugils of Valkurm.

Actually...
# Dec 03 2003 at 4:23 PM Rating: Decent
That's your normal regen rate 10, then 11, then 12... this stuff must do something else. Or not, since it IS boiled rocks. Yum.
Effects
# Nov 29 2003 at 2:31 PM Rating: Excellent
I've noticed after eating this soup, my life increases more and more each time.

My first regen is 10, then 11, then 12, untill it go up to givin me back 20 at a time, then I was full health, only 219 max.

This seems to be a really good item for soloing.
Pebble Soup's Effect
# Nov 14 2003 at 12:12 AM Rating: Default
I don't notice this actually granting +2 hps for the duration. I actually can't find out what it does -- checked att/def values, all stats, MP/HP and didn't notice any of that change. It's doing something, since it gives the "food effect" status indicator.

Am I blind? Is there actually a +2 HP increase that I'm just missing?
RE: Pebble Soup's Effect
# Nov 14 2003 at 9:17 AM Rating: Excellent
I didn't see an actual instant increase in the HP. However it seemed my HP restored faster when resting. Not sure.

Effect lasts quite a long time.

# Nov 22 2003 at 5:45 PM Rating: Default
aye, it seems the +2 hp is a boost to HP regain(though i think it may actualy be more around +3 hp) it wont help too much during a battle, but these things are a great help to decrease downtime while soloing
