No Roast Shrooms In Windy
# Aug 24 2006 at 8:41 AM Rating: Decent
Last night I was in Windurst to buy these at the Culinary Guild from the aforementioned Merchants (Popo and Chomo) and found they did not sell them at all.

Anyone else notice that? Anyone know where else to get them besides Zham and Zahbi? I am on the Titan server. Thanks.

First post. weeeeee!

I realize this was 3 years ago, but as I understand how the guilds work, some items are not for sale at those npcs unless they are sold to them by players. Few if any players would vendor foods that they could sell for a higher price to the AH.

In any case, if there's none of a given item in stock at the guilds, it doesn't show in the list, so just because you didn't see them, doesn't mean they aren't sold by those npc's.

Already sent this via email, but here are the details till it gets posted:
Quote:
NPC missing from the database - Nuh Celodeki
Classification is vendor

This mithra is located in Kazham, and is the
proprietor of Celodeki's B&B (I-7)

She sells a few items, one of which is the Roast
Mushroom:
Fish Mithkabob - 993gil
Blackened Frog - 3133gil
Roast Mushroom - 316gil
Eel Kabob - 2760gil

This means that a stack can be purchased from an NPC at 3792 gil. Enjoy!

I think the dictionary has a word for that: Lazy!
RE: Vendor update
# Apr 22 2006 at 4:15 PM Rating: Decent
Actually, it's: entreprenuer.
RE: Vendor update
# Jul 17 2006 at 10:29 PM Rating: Decent
Technically the word is:

ar·bi·trage (ärb-träzh)n.
The purchase of securities on one market for immediate resale on another market in order to profit from a price discrepancy.

I don't think that word necessarily works in this case, but I see what you meant.

Though they need to stop people from doing this anyway. Tarutaru Rice, need I say more.

Either that or people need to learn not to buy EVERYTHING from the Auction House.

I've been eating these and the HQ for about 90% of my WHM career. These and the HQ are the best "all-around" WHM food you can get. You get +MND, +MP, and +HMP. Nice well rounded food. Also has a -Enmity effect on it, even though it isn't stated on Alla. Don't believe me, check another site like somepage, or the SE official food update press release from a while back.

If you are lacking in a specific area and want a more targeted food as a WHM:

Need Mind? Goblin Mushpot (+10 MND)
Need HMP? Ginger/Wizard Cookies (+5/+7 HMP)
Need MP? Go eat a pie.

Want something that does a little of all three, eat these or Witch Kabobs. You can't beat them for the price.

Danceshrooms are much harder to get than sleepshrooms, as they only drop on lvl 26+ mobs.

If you want sleepshrooms, level low level jobs outside of San Doria and farm dark crystals at the same time.

some of these shrooms are used specificaly in better recipies (they all escape me now), or are rare drops, and thus people think they are worth more.

I made these at level 17 to sell. I made 12 with no fails, no synthesis support either. Heres how to make 'em easy, and get a nice bit of gil, if you want to make these yourself. You can make this with 100% profit, provided you farm your own ingredients. Remember, you can make money if you spend time.

Fire Crystals:

Grow them from plants or go to Ghelsba with a low level job and fight Orcs for some. You could buy a stack from AH and still gain profit, but less profit of course.

Rock Salt:

Buy these from Raimbroy's Grocery for really cheap. You can kill crabs for it too, if you don't want to buy Rock Salt, but its really cheap, so go ahead.

Sleepshrooms:

Go to La Theine Plateau and kill Grass or Poison Fungars. Grass Fungaurs spawn faster and drop more often than Poison Fungaurs (From my findings), although you can camp Tumbling Truffle in the canyon where Poison Fungaurs spawn too, if you went to kill Poison Fungaurs. Grass Fungaurs spawn in the forests on the east and south part of LTP, at the Valkurm Dunes and Jugner Forest zones. Check inside any canyon and you'll find Poison Fungaurs.

Happy synthing!

How much do people sell these for generally? how much profit would be made off of making these with farming fire crystals only?

Also, if the yield is 1, then why does it take 2 mushrooms?do they merge into one, or is one somehow lost in the process? ^^

Stacks of Roasted Mushrooms are going for 4000g on my server. Two stacks of sleep mushrooms go for 4100g, and a stack of rock salt is 400g, so if you farm your own crystals you can basically break even (-300g). Plus if you're a WHM or RDM you can get some solid use out of these at lower levels.

The reason it takes two mushrooms to yield one roasted mushroom is because it's on a stick, like a kabob. Good luck.

# Aug 05 2004 at 12:16 PM Rating: Decent
When I made these for skillups, I was losing quite a bit of money off of them. 2000 per stack of mushrooms (at the very cheapest) x2 + 1500+ for a stack of fire crystals (rock salt price is fairly negligable) means 5500 per stack at the very least to make (even more now that fire crystals are 2500 a stack on my server, and mushrooms are at least 2500 each) and currently one stack of roast mushrooms goes for ~2K-3K (If I recall correctly). This definately is not much of a profitable recipe, even if you farm your own crystals.

Works like a charm for it and yes, it's +2 mp regen/tick. If you can afford it, this is probably one of the best low level white mage/red mage items.

I've never actually seen a sleep mushroom, so I'm wondering if this is a translation thing, because you *can* make this recipe with woozyshrooms, as well as danceshrooms.
