Hello,

I know this will seem to be an ignorant question to most people, but please induldge me because I know youre kind, and I make up for it with my other knowledge. Some foods have the affect "Attack: x%". Every food that I know of that has the affect "Attack: x%" also has the affect "STR: +y". An increase in Strength by +y itself will increase your Attack Statistic. Does the affect "Attack: x%" increase your Attack Statistic by x%, on top of what the additional strength will increase the Attack Statistic, if that food affect is also present and even though most of the time both food affects are not both present together on a single food, or does it mean what I used to always think it mean, up to this point--"Attack: x%" means that increases your attack speed by x%?. Or, by chance, does "Attack: x%" means that it increases both your Attack Statistic and your Attack Speed by x%.

Please clear this up for me. I always assumed it meant that it increased attack speed only because according to my original "Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XI: The Rise of the Zilart" hint guide, the food affect "Attack: x%" is a somewhat rare food affect, and the food affect "STR: +y" is a very common food affect which increases your Attack Statistic already. Not to mention the fact that, in my own mind at least, whenever Zaldor ate that Roast Mutton, he always seemed to swing that Centurion's Sword, and especially that Deathbringer Greatsword, much faster.

Thank You for Your Tolerance and Your Answer,

Zaldor of Alexander

Today's guildpoint item.

Cooking journeyman, 56.
5HQ, 7NQ, 0Fails
HQ 200gp
NQ 180gp

I guess I was rather lucky.

Bad HQ day
# Apr 30 2006 at 2:46 PM Rating: Good
I was crafting this for the guild for some Guild Points and my cooking is at lvl 94.6 this meen this is well over the lvl 50 diffrence.
And my HQ rate was only 16% with a 8% failed rate and a 71% NQ rate.

This was crafted on Lightningday on a fullmoon (98%)
To say the lest very upset with the low HQ rate for my current lvl.

Anyway these can be traded in to the guild for 180 points for the roast mutton and 200 points for the juicy mutton.

So you just need to trade in 13 Roast mutton or 12 juicy mutton to get your guild points for the day which is 2240 guild points.
Attack 27%???

That seems like it could be a lot, does it have a cap? Example: Grilled Hare is Attack 30% with a cap of 15.

I don't see this listed anywhere.

Roast mutton gives 180 guild points for the crafters union.

HQ Juicy Mutton gives 200.

Are you taking into account that it only adds +27% to your base ATK, not your ATK when you have added attack from STR boosts.
Guild Points Cap

Cap on points for this item is 2240. So you need 13 of the NQ (Normal Quality) synths to cap this one out.

just my opinion but i think it would be great information if you would also say if it is able to be stacked or not. also i have found on here that it adds 14% to attack not 15.

I personally got my skill up to 14 with these tonight, from 10-14. WAY lower failure rate then with butter, and they sell back top the merchants for 200 a piece. Buy the meat from the AH, way cheaper, everything else from the cooking guild. :)
