I have stop in the exact location as web site say. It really spawn in the middle of room...

I catch him 1st time at ground floor since some some newbie try to escape, I kill him easily.

2-4 time I have wait him in the room, clean all the mob and it usually spawn around 1 hour time.

I got the gloves 1st 3 times and braveheart at 4th, whole time scale is 3.5 hours, and I was using 30THF with Lvl20 Equipment.

It is nice to save 20K for my DRK.

My warrior had some great times with this sword. But I was now a Level 27 and it was time to change the Braveheart.

So I got me Windurstian Sword.

As for the Braveheart, I had so much luck with it, that I couldnt see me putting a price on it. So,one day I decided to level up my white mage (which had been at level 16 for like 3 weeks) and I got to party with this good warrior level 17. He was already using a great sword and I knew that in one level he'd be able to use the Braveheart. So I gave it to him.

Anyway, just wanted to say, that if any of you can get it, go for it, cuz it really is a great sword.

When Im using my warrior I use this sword (cost me 23k on Seraph)

The great thing about this sword is the stats boost. Ideally other weapons might have more dps (damage per second) however the +2 DEX and +5 accuracy makes it so you miss less, thus making the dps for braveheart higher. Its also great for fighting low level mobs for farming or escorting since unlike other high damage weapons where the battle might go on for 30 seconds due to a couple misses, the braveheart helps avoid these misses

Remember though that when you /check the high evasion is compared to your stats- so although this sword may make former high evasions check normally, you still probably will miss high evasion mobs.

I just got this sword. I'm a level 18 warrior and I'm hoping to have some good times with it. I used the Claymore till now and I just hope this one serves me as well as the claymore did :)

PS: I bought it for 20k in fairy.

I've been hunting this on-and-off for three days, Zi'Ghi seems to spawn about every 1hr15min. and thats if I keep his spawn room and the hallways leading to it cleared of Quadavs. Seen him about 10 times, killed 7 of those, all 7 times I got the Coarse Gauntlets. I'm a level 25THF/15MNK, I wish my Treasure Hunter would kick in, I have yet to get a Rare drop from an NM. :(

I'm actually sort of glad to hear that you're also having trouble with the drop. I've fought him four times, and each time he dropped Coarse Gauntlets...woo friggin hoo. And you are correct, he does spawn every 1hr15mins, on the right side of the specified room. The veteran quadav also seems to be the placeholder, with the greater and onyx as the regular spawns. I'm gonna give it another shot in 1hr and hopefully I'll get the sword. Very undercamped NM.

that sword
# Jan 22 2004 at 1:20 PM Rating: Default
that sword is so cool but it's to hard to get and when something can be dropped it's just a waist of money buying it. but it does take a long time without a lvl 15 theif or higher...

Disinformation. This weapon is 30/444 and lvl 18. Level 18 Scythe for DRK is 38/523 or 39/513 for the +1 version. Lvl 20 scythe (Cruel Scythe) is 40/513. You're looking at least with a dps advantage of 7.5% with the scythe, plus DRK are better rated with scythes, plus you keep your scythe skills maxed until 30 where the scythes dominate in power all the way to the dreaded Death Scythe at lvl 73.

If you're a warrior and like Great Swords, this is a great sword for you. If you're a Scythe DRK, don't take parent's advice, stick with your weapon family.

At least until lvl 66 when you want Spinning slash.

A good DRK will keep at the very least both Scythe and Great Sword capped.
Is it worth it

Classic FFV weapon
# Dec 17 2003 at 2:27 PM Rating: Default
This is a classic from FFV. Where you have to choose between the Braveheart or the Chicken Knife when you find a secret chest in the town of Muah(FFV SNES + translation patch) or Moore in FFV PS.

ya i think the chicken knife's power was determined by how much you ran away right?

It's dropped by a NM in Palborough mines, in the Upper area with the Onyx, Veterans, Greater, etc. I don't remember the guys name but it was weird and when I checked him he was ITG. A japanese monk told me he drops Braveheart rarely. So being a thief will be a + when killing him.
Braveheart Performance

Very nice blade. A touch expensive though for it's level. On ramuh they sell for 15-30k. Very high accuracy as a war18/mnk9. I hit even con mobs 90% of the time. :>

Yeah, just picked one up for 20K on Ramuh. WAR18/MNK9. It was amazing, I was staying a little under par for melee damage with a level 20 MNK in my group, and I made the other WAR18 look silly, :-D

I agree. I bought mine for 20k on Fairy, and I'm lvl 28 still using it. I'm just now outgrowing it, and only because of the dmg being low for a lvl 28 war. :[ It has served me GREAT soo far, so I might jst stash it away..

Wow... I had to buy mine for 50k on Fairy -.-

Was thinking about maybe getting better price, but it seems that was the going rate in Sand d' Oria. Figure I can sell it back... *Hopefully* for arounf the same price I got it for. Maybe a bit less. :S
