I believe the MP effect of this egg is wrong, I used it on my Ranger and only recieved +5 mp instead of 6.
It's right. 6 hp/mp. Perhaps you had on a copper ring or some other item that has -1 MP?

Is there a certain region that eggs come from or is it all up to who is the first place nation, in order for eggs to be sold by the specific vendors?

After the update, these things only last 5 minutes when you eat them. I was leveling thf and killing Vultures in Gustaburg for the fire crystals. Was overflowing in eggs so decided to eat one for the little hp boost (I'm taru). I was quite surprised that it only lasted 5 minutes.
this is also sold by the merchants after you get off the airship in the 3 cities. (unless that country is in third)

Do you just use it and how long does it last will it tell you your bird egg has wore off???
You just use the item on yourself, just like you would any other medicine, food, or drink.
It lasts for 30 real-life minutes.
After the 30 minutes expire, you will see "<player name>'s Food effect wears off."

it will give you +8hp/+8mp in you make a hard boiled egg out of it. fire crystal, bird egg, and distilled water.

Eating this will give you 6hp for a little bit.
You can make boiled eggs using <1 fire crystal + 1 distilled water + 1 bird egg>
