Exactly how much would u sell this puppy?
Sells for about 4-6k on Sylph (as of 12/8/06), with very few ever in stock. While synthing these to raise my Alchemy skill, I was able to break even, which was nice for a change.
This is in no way the best rod for carp.
Depending on where you fish, the best rod may be composite, mithran, or carbon.

Does anyone know if you can use a light crystal to fix this when it breaks?
I can repair Carbon rods and Glass rods, S. H. rod is made from the same stuff, so it should be Alchemy, right?
I've never used this rod before, and I can't recall ever checking the game to see if broken S. H. rods ever sell. Perhaps this is a very stupid question, but hopefully someone will take this as a great chance to demonstrate their extensive knowledge of the game, and hopefully I can get told off inthe process. Have fun! <wink>

Mystery tour lists the light crystal repair for this rod capping at level 65 alchemy.

This can't be right, I'm level 69 alchemy, and if I recall correctly it's 5 carbon fiber thread and 1 glass fiber thread (for the line I assume. ;p)

/sigh obviously you don't craft anything worthwhile. There are a ton of high level crafting reciepes that need more then 8 items. the items can stack so you only fill up 2 slots 1 for the carbon and 1 for the glass.
Recpie is only 2 glass fibers though.
