*note* -I had full AF when I was testing-
I am not sure if it was because of the Ability on the AF body and AF feet gear that had effect on this. I know that the ability on the af makes it stronger when curing. Using this healed my pet for 154 HP but I also took notice that it cured my pets 'paralyzed' status. I tested it over and over and it does remove paralyze from a pet. Again, I do not know if AF has to be equiped for it to cure Paralyze from a pet.

do these only heal BST pets? or would they heal a DRG wyvern or a SMN summon?
RE: only BST?

Sorry, but they only work for Bst. At lvl 12, Bst get the ability "Reward" which allows them to heal their pets via the different pet foods.

I make these for profit. Not the best profit compared to other things you can do per hour, but somehow it works for me. If I synth for 2 hours and make 36 stacks, I make about 15k when selling it back to the vendor. I have Hero fame in San Doria and Cooking 60.

1. If you have Rank 5 and your Nation is in 1st or 2nd place, you can buy the Eggs at the Airship merchant: 600gils a stack for me.
2. Buy the crystals and meat for as cheap as possible (during non New/Full Moon days), sixth stacks at a time is what I do.
3. Buy the Horo flour when your nation has control of Aragoneu and buy the water from a merchant.

If you do all this you can make 15k in 2 hours. I often get HQ when doing this on a New/Full Moon, I get 8 or 10 instead of 6 per synth.

Just by logging wood you can expect at least 20k/hour even if you are a level 1 with no crafting skill at all!!!

NPC buy rates are attached to your fame. Get more famous, the price of each biscuit goes up. But I promise you you won't get much more per biscuit (maybe 2-4G more per).

Are you expecting to get rich running the pet food treadmill? 14G profit per biscuit is what you can expect to get from ANY recipe where the NPC sellback rate is higher than the cost of the materials. People who sell dhalmel meat aren't stupid. They know that their customers are treadmilling cooks and they know at what price treadmillers are going to soak up their product.

If you want real money from your cooking find a recipe that sells well at the AH and is in low supply. Then buy the cheapest ingredients and cook away. That is how crafting is supposed to work.

The yield is 6 biscuits MINIMUM. Your "Promise" is based off of a yield of one. This is ridiculously profitable. I'll do a P&L for you so you can understand how this works:

(All Prices Shiva 8/2/04)
Earth x 12 400
D.Meat x 12 600
Horo x 12 480
Water x 12 132
Egg x 12 600
-------------------------
Cost For 12 Synth = 2212
Yield = 6 Stacks (MINIMUM) @ 660 / Stack
-------------------------
Revenue = 3960
Cost of Goods Sold = 2212
NET PROFIT = 1748 !!!!!!

I have done first two gobbie bag quests so I have 40 Inventory slots. I can bring 5 Stacks of Crystal/Meat/Water/Egg and camp infront of Horo flour merchant (Flour does not stack) and just synth until I get a PT. Original author stated he makes 15k / 2 hr. I did a dry run last night and made 15k in 1 hr just from NPC. If I have nothing else on AH, I'll put up 7 on my main and 7 on my mule since AH buy rate is 1200 compared to ~600 from NPC.

Other tips:
Killing Dhamel in the Peninsula often yield two meat per Dhamel. It is a common drop. Do not drive the price of meat on the AH over 900 gil/stack. You are doing yourself a great dis-service if you do so. I buy the meat in Windy since it seems to have the greatest surplus. I sit infront of the Gobbie cook in the junk shop of lower jueno for my flour because my HP is always in Jueno.
Yummy~~

HQ version?
# Apr 18 2004 at 12:30 PM Rating: Default
Is there a HQ version of this synth that will give more then yield 6? Like with Delta bisquits. Please lemme know if there is, I'd really appreciate it.
RE: HQ version?
# Apr 19 2004 at 2:26 PM Rating: Default
There is a HQ version. I was making these for my own use, and once made 8 instead of 6. But because I have a lvl 93 cooking skill, and only made 1 HQ after about 20 synths, I would consider it almost not worth metioning.
