I have made about 7 stacks of these with about 1.2 skill ups, is there a good time/ day to synth these for better skill ups? LVL 64 Alchemy

Things slow down...alot. I was getting 0.1 skillup every 30 Hi-potions.

Is it just me or has synthing become more slower since the last patch? Gotta love those post level 60 synths.

I been skiling up on these for alchemy. I had like 5-6 stacks of them. tried to sel in bazaar by killing self in lower jueno. They sell for a loss if at all. AH srell rate is very very low. I think i will wait until i can trade them for GP. Stat effect weapons made in the past are usually useless so i will decline to waste money on darksteel weapons to add these potions to.

excellent recipe to level on. CHEAP! buy jellies from npc vendor, (32 ea in bibiki), to synth mercury, warp back to Jeuno to buy the venom dust (1035) from the gobbo vendor.

notes:
- above prices are reflective of high fame.
- good to do from 63 onward with no support.

sad thing about this synth it costs 22-24k to make a stack (assuming none fails at that...) and they sell for 7k....bah

and every stack gives me like .3..if i'm lucky

Crystal prices will affect this recipe - so costing a stack of water and lightning @ 2k each, a stack of synths should run you just shy of 18k, with no HQ on mercury synth, (however, you should be getting at least an avg of 1.5x - 2x HQ rate on mercury @ 40+ levels above cap).

Basically, it costs you < 1500 per break (based on the above stated cost), before hq/selling/vendoring potions. which, compared to other synths at this level, I don't think you can beat.

.... okay who wants to poison themselves?
Except the odd nutter or too

The point of this potion is for alchemists to make weapons that cause monsters you attack to have venom on them, thus "venom weapons", if you want to stay awake, use a poison potion, they hurt less.

if you poison yourself it will wake you up from sleep, which can be good especially in the bcnm 40 giddeus fight

though i'm not sure why yuou would want to be 'severly' poisoned, but i'm sure there is a reason

Sorry for the really (really late) reply -
This is especially useful in Promyvion - Holla, due to the NM absorbing buffs/debuffs on you (believe he absorbs any 3 buffs/debuffs, minus weakened/food/sleep/curse?)

WHM auto-regen keeps you from loosing health when using a normal potion. You need low health to use the latent effect that makes your heals do more. ^^ But, this is mostly used on weapons in Alchemy.

People use these potions in jeuno and other places and die in the middle of the road :O hehe, kinda funny to see someone dead in the middle of the road sometimes, they just want you to examine their bazaar.

Ever hear of spicy crackers. Food effect don't last long and it stops you from sleeping. A lot better than taking poison.

The way I read it the cracker gives resist (like Barsleep) will not be 100%. Poision is 100% it wakes you back up.

It is also like scops bard song, if you do manage to get put to sleep it dosn't last more than a cpl seconds. In fact most of the time in your log it will actualy say "you are no longer asleep" before it even says "your are asleep" odd but true. The HQ crackers work better but are from synthasis only. vendors don't sell the HQ.
