This item brings in 150 GP max of 1920 GP. Cost of materials if you go the Mercury x1 Cobalt Jellyfish x1 Lightning Crystal method it is about 54k. It will give you approximately 2 stacks if you dont break. You can sell one for 20K, and make the total cost around 24K not to bad. The better solution is to just buy a stack for 20 K, and save your wallet and time. also AH space.
great profit

You can make some serious money with these at low levels. Catch Jellyfish which is extremely cheap, synth Mecury and then great some of these. They go for 10k a stack. Nice and easy

This item worth 150GP
Total needed is 13x150 > 1920 Limit

Not bad for this item, Even it's not too much, at least it's not costy.

Potion in Beadeaux

Lvl 47 Monk used this potion to get by Machines that curse in Beadeaux. It had the same effect as the Mute machine. Passed through without loss of HP, etc. Next I try for undead curse to check for effect. Died twice earlier helping someone in Necropolis. Perhaps these can help against undead casts.
Throw it....
# Feb 24 2005 at 2:32 PM Rating: Decent
Wouldn't be great if you could just throw these on the mobs?
FYI

This is not "silent oil!"
silencing potion
# Dec 29 2003 at 11:52 AM Rating: Good
Actually This is Not not For "sneak" effect, thats a silence oil. also this is not for casting on enemy, it silences the Drinker. you.
There's a High level zone, where a monster will only let you past him if you are silenced. thats what this is for :)

forgive me for not remebering the monsters name at this time;;

I don't know if this would work, but there is the possibility (as this Anonymous one points out) that it could be used to Silence oneself thus defending against the Afflictors affect in Beauduex (sp?) much like the Mute does. An interesting concept I'd say.

Um...don't Echo Drops cure Silence? If you need to cancel it, just bring some Echo Drops with you as well.

On Phoenix, this can go anywhere from 1k to 1.3k a piece in the AH. I was making these from the Mandy Buds that dropped while leveling in Kazham. Problem is NO ONE buys them. After making 5 of them, it's taken me four weeks to sell all but the last one of them.

THe true benefit of this is for Linkshells.

E.g. in our linkshell I am the alchemist. I can take weapons made from other ppl in LS (or bought for that matter), and convert them to a magical weapon. Let me tell you, when farming elementals or undead, there is NOTHING like a silent weapon. Since most ppl on not Mages who can cast silence on a mob when farming (Please note: silence weapons are not good for most lvling pts since they tend to be lower lvl weapons).

Silence
# Dec 25 2003 at 9:29 PM Rating: Default
There are 2 different items that are getting mixed up here. There is "Silencing Potion" which will silence an enemy and "Silent Oil" which has the same effect as sneak, stopping sound aggro.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 24 2003 at 4:28 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) man youre wierd, this is to cast it upon yourself, enemies aggro by sight sound and smell, using this potion makes it so it lessens the chance of getting aggroed by sound, trust me youll need it in some areas
RE: ??
# Sep 05 2004 at 5:20 AM Rating: Default
This doesn't prevent aggro, you are thinking of silent oil, what this does is put the silence effect on you, as in no more spells, it is used in alchemy to make weapons that silence monsters that they hit.
hopeless

I just bought a silencing potion hoping to silence the birds. However, when I try to target them with the item it won't let me It keeps targeting me. I tried F8 and tab but nothing works. Why have a silence potion be casted on myself? I want the silence potion to be used on the enemy.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 04 2003 at 5:29 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is to make you move silently..
