I decided to camp Enke because I knew that Str would work wonders for Tachi Yuki macroing, espically if I went /thf. the claim was fairly easy once you knew the system, and not a lot of people go up after him (at least not on midgard). after about 7 kills or so I figured I'd just buy them (they were 500k at the time)....then it raised to 600k.....then 800k.....and currently they're going for 1 mil >.< . After several more days and there a bunch of claims....I got my pair, 1/13 on Enkelados. hopefully anybody else who goes after him who actually plans on using the drop will have better luck than I will.

I saw that no one had posted in nealy a month...These now sell on Lakshimi for around 800k. I killed this NM 4 or 5 times and got a drop the last time. Pretty good money for such an easy drop although if you don't have rank 4 done it would be annoying having to travel up the tower every time you wanted to hunt this. I also must say this guy has a bad drop rate as well, I just got lucky I'm guessing...

Lol this picture is only 1/5 correct, there is no actual bracelet image. Its like a cape or belt you cant see them. So it displays your naked hands.
*ENKELADOS has a very rare drop rate, im 1/14 with him. Took me so long to get them lol. And yes he charmed me a couple times. Actually one time a Rdm put me to sleep and attacked it. I was pretty agrivated for losing the grab, but i was glad he didnt kill me instead.

Yeah, kinda made me mad after spending more than a month trying to get this drop(21 times), that it has no model. I can post pics of it in my inventory if you really want me to:D

Well me and a samurai friend decided to camp this guy tonight and he poped right next to me so i used steal to claim him and then engaged. i was having a nice time soloing him till all of a sudden i see that i became charmed and Enkelados was sitting there unclaimed with my Samurai friend on the way. so i was sitting attacking this 70 rdm who provked Enky but kindly decided to Disengage after seeing me charmed by the thing. and then 2 seconds later the SAM friend Sidewinders Enky to death and then poof
He drops the bracelet! so that made me pretty happy and takes me 375k (My Share) close to my Haubergenon

To the guy who said he and his wyvern killed a gil-seller that is a lie when you get charmed you lose your wyvern.
I would love to stay charmed by this guy and just beat the crap out of anyone that comes near us... that would make my day ^^

hehe, 56pld/12nin (just having fun with Dual Weild:P) was killing stuff on floor seven. a friend who was on the 10th seen him, but didnt engage because he didnt wanna be charmed and kill his friend who was going on 3-3. i went up.. was already gone. went to the other pop area. seen him. engaded. won easly enough. got the sheild, 2 socks, and the bracelet ^_^. i head to jeuno, last 3 sales were for 390-400k. before that 230-250k. im like 'Whoo Hoo' and put em up for 390k.
I killed his bats and proceeded to pund him with my Wyvern as a 60 DRG. As i was winnign i saw a high level gill seller and i felt good about taking the mob first. Just then he charms me... The gillseller engages the giant and i start attacking him with my wyvern. Me,the giant and my wyvern PWND THAT GILLSELLER!!!11
AFter the gillseller died a whole slurry of high level ppl came up,(about 5-6) and started fighting...i begged them not to kill me,but they did and i lost 2k exp ;_;Bastards..

Ugh, they've gone up to 150k now on Asura. I've camped him for 9 hours...and all I have to show for it are wads of cash (killed elementals while I waited) and two pairs of socks and two ice crystals (from big man Enky himself.) What I've noticed though is while there's a ******* of a gil farmer there (Lmoast) it seems to be mainly preoccupied with Mimas and I haven't seen any one single person selling these on the AH in Jeuno. I guess I just have really terrible luck. Maybe when I sell some ore I'll break down and buy them -.-

so.. ive been farming in the toer lately, middle and upper, and im wondering what what happen if i ran into him as 53DRG/16THF? i will lvl thf soon but would i win? and btw, if he charms you mid-battle, what would happen? lose all control over character and just follow him around? that'd be pretty cool... for 1 minute, please give me an answer, i dont wanto be a puppet lol
Fought this guy last night with 3 other LS friends. Our party consisted of a 60 WHM, 52 THF, 43 NIN and me, a 53 PLD. We really weren't even camping him, we were killing the 15-Minute spawn Mimas (Got one Huge Moth Axe drop, I got it, 9k on Fairy).
Anyways, before hand, we were talking about the NM's that spawned up there, and this was one of them. The THF knew about the 100k drop bracelet, so if we saw it, hopefully we'd get it.
After about an hour and a half, I ran around around noticed Enkelados, and was like..."Hooooly Crap.". I immidiatly got him and called my LS friends over to help me out. There were no bats. At all. So he didn't even attempt Charm, which is good. He went down rather easily, with no real danger. We got a Mahogany Shield and Socks. :\ Eh, but it was OK, seeing as how we weren't even camping him. ^^

I was farming here as THF52 with a BLM71 LS buddy when we saw this guy. Despite knowing he was BST class, I forgot to leave his bats alone and proceeded to kill them with a quick SA. I was only at half-HP so I healed since no once else was around and the BLM needed MP as well. My buddy shouted to grab it since someone was coming, so I pop up still ~1/2HP and engage him. I popped my two-hour just to be safe, and got Utsusemi up as I didn't know what to expect. Things were going fine until some other giants popped around us. No prob, the BLM can handle those. Interestingly enough, my BLM was ignoring the giants and following me around. Then I notice *SMACK* "Trewgle hits you for 35 damage."
That's when things went hazy. When I came to, my battered body was underneath Enkelados with my buddy BLM following him like a zombie.
I couldn't even be upset (even though I delvled) because I was laughing too hard. I will never forget the pure hilarious panic I felt when I realized my buddy was slapping me upside the head with his Earth Staff. In retrospect, we were glad he didn't cast any -ga spells on me. Plus, his staff skill increased by 0.2 points ^^

Was heading up to Upper Delkfutt's in a party to exp off of giants and bats, saw him on Widescan and walked up to engage him. Forgot the general advice about BST NMs and killed his bat first. Fired a Barrage and a Sidewinder into him and took a big chunk of his life down. The BLM arrived in time to fire off a nuke and the BRD showed up to toss me a Cure III, but I was easily soloing it as a RNG58/NIN29 (Didn't even put up shadows beforehand). Anyway, got his socks and nothing else.
Later that night we also took down Pallas with the help of a WAR74/THF28, got his socks too.

Just soloed him 56rdm/blm, and relatively easily. He either never called up his bats or someone killed them without me noticing. He attempted to charm me at about 1/2 of his hp but it failed. Not exactly sure what would happen if he did...as I can't attack myself...oh well. No drop, but I'm not too devistated considering I wasn't even looking for him.
I solod at 51 MNK. He charmed me - you just run behind him looking like an idiot. I pity anyone who would have attacked it from under me - as they would have been getting pounded by me :P

Lvl 53MNK/THF farming giants. figured I'd run up to the top and try for him, and found Mimas first. Killed off Mimas, got the axe, and went t o the left "hole". I only waited an hour or so before he popped, and I had killed all the giants first. Waited for him to call up some bats, and went at him, and wouldn't you know it, someone came up and killed the bats. A Raging Fists and two hits prtty much finishes him off, maybe a counter or two more, but had I been much lower, I'm not sure he wouldn't have charmed me first.
At any rate. I can verify that 50-55 is good enough to solo him, even if you DO get a link. one or two more giants, at least as a Galka Monk, wasn't a big problem.
No bracelets off him, but now I see the severity of some of the gil farmers. and I'm on a relatively quiet server, too. gilgamesh ^_^
It goes for about 100k here.

Mimas and Porphyrion (also Gigas NMs in Upper Delkfutt's Tower) are lvl36 NMs. Enkelados is just barely a little tougher, so my guess is that Enkelados is 36-38, maybe 36-40.
You're gonna want to solo him at 50-55 as a tank or melee with good DEF. You'll wanna take out his friends first, if possible.
However, DO NOT kill his bats first, or you will be Charmed. Also, because there are gil-farmers there 24/7 on all servers there is a very very large chance that someone will run up to the bats and kill them while you are fighting him. That has happened to me probably 20 times or more. Thankfully I'm high enough level that I can kill him fast enough before he has the chance to Charm me. Be careful, these gil sellers will do whatever they can to make you leave.
How much do these run for on servers?
