Not great for rdm/blm !
# Jun 08 2005 at 1:38 PM Rating: Decent
To put it simply, I strongly advise you not to get it, Naldailya ... As blm, you're much better with a Seer's Tunic. Sure, you could get this for the INT and macro in Seer's Tunic while resting, but that's eluding one thing : This doesn't allow you to wear headgear, meaning Seer's Tunic + Seer's Crown+1 is a better choice, INT-wise.

As for it being great for rdm, I seriously doubt it too : -2 mnd isn't godly when trying to land that Paralyze ... though it may be solved by macro-swaping it with a Bishop's robe.
Great for rdm/blm

I highly highly highly recommend this armor for RDM/BLM's. If you are planning on doing damage with spells as a rdm, INT is important.

Are many of these for sale on the AH? Perhaps sold by people who have out grown their stats. Because I am definitly not from Windy and really want to pick this piece of equipment up if when I get around this level.
is it worth it?

is it worth losing the head gear, electrum hairpin, and using this instead?

Way back when, this was about the only game in town INT-wise for BLMs at this level, and it was definitely worth it. Especially if you were Windy. With the advent of Seer's gear, though, it's definitely NOT worth it. Get yourself Seer's head and body instead.

i personally don't think it's worth the MP loss for mages anyway...this is more of a "combat caster's" equipment (as the name implies) this would be more suitable for a RDM or a BLM.

i use this cloak for my LS, its the official uniform...PirateSyndicate! w00t!

A lot of +1 items have a higher level requirement. These items aren't actually +1 in the sense that they were a high quality synth, rather they are items that were made with the original as one of the ingrediants. The original is level 40(I use it on my ranger for BCNM40), but the +1 and +2 versions are probably higher level, though I'm not sure if they are in this specific case or not. I know things like IM cuisass +1 is a few levels higher then the original.
